Awesome, now that all the big guns have jumped on board in support of the OP, someone better call Scotty and tell him to get on VolNation, right now! It's not often that this level of collective basketball knowledge and accumen is focused in one place!
Really someone go to his apartment and alert him. This is truly a special moment!

:lolabove::lolabove:Scotty,
As a lifetime Vol Fan I have seen many players blessed with talent that others would give anything for. You, Mr Hopson, have that type of talent. However, there is something you are missing that every educated fan can see: Fire. Desire. Killer Instinct. Dribbling Skills.
Get some. Start with the Dribbling Skills, which will take your game to an entire other level. The other items will begin falling into place once you begin to dominate the way you are capable of. It was incredible watching you drill that jumper in that pansy Chandy Parsons face. We as Vol Fans want that every night.
When you go home, dribble a ball home. When you are watching TV, dribble a ball. When you are running sprints, dribble while sprinting. When you are tossing medicine balls, dribble them too! Dribble every free moment you have.
You have the chance to become a Vol Legend. One of the great players we have seen wear the Orange and White. You also have the chance of being a bust. A monumental bust. No Vol Fan wants to see that. This is your year. You have an incredible supporting cast. You have new blood, freshmen, who are destined to be great. As a junior, show them how to lead. How to dominate. How to live up to the hype. Be their leader.
This is your time to shine Mr Hopson. We see flashes of greatness. Make them consistent. Prove all your doubters wrong. Prove your supporters, myself included, right. We are at a turning point in Tennessee Basketball History. It's your time to lead.
Looking forward to the upcoming season. Go Big Orange.

I thought as long as people knew what you meant and it was spelled correctly was all you needed for a message board but I guess not.Some of the nitpicking and fighting among other things that have nothing to do with the subject is why I don't frequent this board more often.
I hope this post is satisfactory to all the proofreaders of Volnation.
Please. If he didn't kick it up a notch last year with all that was said about him on here, then this thread won't make a difference either.

If my aunt had nuts she wouldn't be my aunt.
What's your point?

This post is in the 98% perecentile range for accuracy.He definitely believed himself to be one and done material while he was getting big praise from the Scout and Rivals silliness. He definitely dogs it at times on the floor and sulks when he is struggling. Very long, good athlete, can make tough shots and can do much more than he does. Has done little to improve his handle, which is what so limits his offensive game. He gets a handle, he'll likely live up to top 10 recruit status, but the lack of care is an issue as well (I assume coaching can deal with that more effectively than Green did with Yarbrough).
Hopson just came off his sophomore season. His freshman year, it was apparent his jump-shot had way too much arc. So in his first off-season, he worked on that. And his jumper was much improved.
One would think that in this, his second off-season, he'd be working on his ball-handling. And his brief history would indicate that if so, it would be improved. So anyone who said he and his coaches haven't put in any work to get better or mistaken at the least. If his dribbling isn't improved, then that's a problem.
Clutch-itude? I recall at least two games he won or put away in the closing seconds, and it didn't take much thought on my part. And he was just a sophomore on a team with great senior leaders.
And nobody knows how much fire he has except himself. You can't judge that by his facial expressions. Barry Sanders never showed emotion... just think how good he coulda been if he'd had some fire, huh?
