Orange Bowl at Worst. Sugar a possibility.

Yes, unless somehow LSU wins tomorrow.
A GA loss drops them to #3, possibly just #2.

It's still MI, GA, TCU, and tOSU.

GA isn't dropping out of the playoffs with a loss in a CCG and neither is Michigan.

Alabama is going to New Orleans.
Tennessee is going to Miami.
Dabo Swinney is going to get a slap from Josh Heupel: "Keep my team's name out of your f'n mouth."

Ok. The point was that if LSU were somehow to win, they would automatically go to the Sugar Bowl as SEC champion. That would most likely bump Alabama down to the orange bowl and send Tennessee to the Cotton.

That would suck, but ugh...... you're right.

Georgia doesn’t look like world beaters this year. At times LSU has looked like a team that could beat a Georgia team if they weren’t taking care of business.

Although I “expect” Georgia to win. I just don’t think they are quite as good as advertised.

So USC losing benefits us? I saw saying that they could take the Cotton Bowl spot and delegate us to the CiTrUs Bowl
Tennessee is in Orange Bowl at worst with OSU going into top 4… quit worrying. Pac-10 has no affiliation with that game at all. If LSU wins… then we’ll revisit this thread tomorrow night.

I'd make Bama 20 point favorites against TCU on a Nuetral field. Going undefeated in the big 12 literally means nothing.

It hasn’t happened in 13 years……..so maybe it’s “something.”

SOR: TCU > Georgia
SOS: TCU > Georgia

An Ohio state is back in CFP. Almost like the CFP committee planned it.
Now when tcu gets blown out tomorrow, the committee scheme will be complete

The committee got what they wanted two BIG10 teams in the playoffs. It's why OSU fell to #5 rather than 6.

Thats when they actually had one good team in the conference, Oklahoma . Now they all suck. TCU is trash. If Texas QB didn't play like straight trash, Texas wins that game by 30. TCU is no good.

Again, would anyone take TCU over Bama? NO and its not close. These teams always get a sympathy invite and lose miserably when given their chance. Happens time and time again. At least in the future they will get exposed by the 10-12 seed instead.

only SEC teams play in the SEC.

What would OSU have been this year in the SEC? TCU has better wins than OSU, they have better everything.

Not saying TCU is the best team; however their SOS is better than Georgia’s and so is their SOR.

TCU beat a full strength Texas by 7 and it wasn’t much of a game.

Bama beat Texas (without their QB) by 1, and had to do it at the end of the game.

Your going off what you “think” would happen vs what has actually happened.

We just “think” TCU isn’t that good. I doubt they can win in the playoff; however most teams would lose to Georgia or Michigan…….heck OSU just got blown out at home by Michigan.

However going 12-0 in ANY power 5 conference isn’t easy………especially given TCU has a better SOS than the other teams that went 12-0.

I don’t know their thinking at all on what they want or why.

However LSU also lost, that’s why they dropped to 5th.

Everyone got a free spot

I'd take that bet all day and win some money. What we did to Bama so would TCU. They have a very good offense and a physical running game. I have watched two full games rooting for them to lose and they come through each time. Like it or not, they're a good team. If they were named Texas instead of Texas Christian they are sitting at one overall and no one is questioning them.

This isn't rocket science. If two teams in the same conference end with the same record, you go to heads up, if possible. 10-2 UT beat 10-2 Bama. UT>UA
I agree but there is a political reason behind this called money

It’s not about who would be favored though or shouldn’t be. Bama would likely be favored double digits over us too right now. TCU has better wins than Bama. Bama best win is Texas (by 1), who TCU also beat.

The CFP committee turned them selves into a pretzel twisting work study program

The companies pulling the strings in chase of the almighty dollar have shown no reservations about pissing down our collective UT legs and telling us it's liquid sunshine. I have no doubt that they'll manipulate and make some obscure rule akin to the so-called "cluster rule" appear to once again give the middle finger and shaft to our Vols. UT in the sugar or orange...I'll have to see it to believe it. Having said that, I don't have a lot of confidence in Milton and/or our secondary to take down that level of an opponent. I'm torn between the exposure of such a bowl vs having a real shot at a 11-2 season. Not saying we'd be a slam dunk vs Tulane especially with their passing attack, but...well...it's Milton and our DBs. Hard to feel anything but angst when I think of 'em.

I predicted USC to lose tonight. I’m predicting TCU to win tomorrow. TCU is a battle tested, tough, unselfish team who has earned the right to get drubbed by Michigan. Lol.

USC was soft, full of prima donnas and everyone who paid attention to them this year knew this. Starting with their coach and QB.
I'm not so sure. It's really hard to beat an opponent twice in a little over a month. KSU will be primed and ready for this one and the pressure is all and I do mean ALL on TCU. Won't be the least bit surprised to see KSU win. TCU has been on the edge a couple of times of late. Sooner or later their luck will run out. Might be against KSU. Having said that, I'm pulling for them....hard! Hell, if they make the playoffs, I have no doubt they'll be America's darling in a final 4 of UGA, OSU and Michigan.
