Oregon to jump UT?

My wife is a rabid Ohio State fan. We've already made plans to watch the game at different places if we play each other. It would real bad.

I remember a simpler time when UT fans would date UT fans and keep it pure, now you have all these mixed fan households. And look what America has become (obvious sarcasm)

TCU has won a bunch of games against backup qbs and the wins weren’t convincing. They will get killed by UGA, OSU, Michigan, UT, and Oregon or USC.

That's not the point. It doesn't matter what you think. I say that not trying to be condescending. They are #4 in the CFP.

So.... TCU has struggled (but won) against inferior teams and are undefeated

Any other team with a better Strength of Schedule loses 1 (ONE) game and TCU deserves to be in because they're undefeated?

I guess there's no reason to schedule anything but the "Little Sisters of the Poor" for 12 games then.....

I mean... If that gets you into the playoffs and all.....

If TCU wins out they will have beaten enough respectable teams as a Power 5 conference champion to merit a playoff berth in my opinion. I would imagine the committee will agree. Since they do play shaky I'm not sure if they will though but they do what they need to and win in different ways.

There would still be a path for the Vols.

I don't think the ACC is getting anyone in.

The USC/UCLA loser is eliminated, and the winner will still have a tough path remaining.

The Ohio State/Mich loser is probably eliminated because they won't make their championship game either.

But, you didn’t address what I addressed: I never said they shouldn’t be or won’t be #4. I just said they aren’t very good.

Again... TCU has struggled to be undefeated..... Some of those games were against "weak" teams. TN's only loss was to the #1 team (and they've destroyed most everyone else) but TCU beats the equivalent of high school teams and they're more deserving of a spot in the playoff??

Gimme a break.....

Doomsday for the PAC-12. Oregon goes down at home. UCLA losing to a 3 win team at home. If that holds up then USC is their only hope but they still have two rivalry games and the potential conference championship game. Not looking good for that conference at the moment.

Not only that, UCLA would likely drop outside the top 20. So if USC won, UCLA would be borderline top 25. Same with ND

So the question then is, does a USC team who would have maybe 2 or 3 semi-prominent wins get in over say a UT with 2 indisputably major wins (and a handful of semi-prominent wins).

I doubt it.

My wife’s entire family went to Bama. However, she wears UT shirts on Saturdays and her dad just bought himself orange socks. Transformation is almost complete.
