What's the difference between what you say here and the compliant that the US is slaughtering innocent Iraqi's?

The reasons for the Iraq war were fabricated, 100% lies. Yet people in this country still supported the war. It really makes all of you Christians with your holier-than-thou attitudes look like giant hypocrites.

I am beginning to wonder whether people who say that it was an Islamic or Muslim attack say that just to be a pain in the ass and look like idiots, or whether they really are idiots who are truly so unsophisticated as not to be able to wrap their minds around even the tiniest complexity in the world.

I guess you have blocked out all the images of people dancing in the streets of Muslim countries after 9/11

No, I'm not. Why don't you educate me.

for one thing, there was a cease fire in effect from 1991, which Saddam routinely violated.

there were no fly zones put in place by the UN in 1991, which Hussein routinely violated.

there is no doubt that Hussein possessed chemical weapons and he had shown a willingness to use them.

during the period before the war, when Iraq was given time to put together a presentation to offer "proof" that their WMD program was non-existent, Hussein asked for U2 overflights to cease. The US, for some reason, complied. After the invasion, sites that had been sealed by the UN in 1991 were found to be empty.

Hussein was known to be harboring terrorists. Perhaps not Al Queda, but it's been proven that he provided safe haven and even training facilities for them.

I have come to realize this is what/who you have a problem with.

Im not sure its about civilians dying in America, Iraq, or anywhere else at this point.

You forgot to add that Syria somehow made a monumental leap in nuclear technology after the start of the second gulf war.

I thought the reasons for the war were harboring al queda and having WMDs?

I don't think "harboring al queda" was ever mentioned by the Bush administration.
ooook.
On October 16, 2002, the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002 was signed into law. The authorization (Public law 107-243) had passed the House by a vote of 296-133, and the Senate by a vote of 77-23. This resolution stated, "Whereas members of al Qaida, an organization bearing responsibility for attacks on the United States, its citizens, and interests, including the attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, are known to be in Iraq;" and "Whereas Iraq continues to aid and harbor other international terrorist organizations, including organizations that threaten the lives and safety of United States citizen

Interesting piece in the subject of WMD's and murdering civilians.

Saddam Hussein conducted the deadliest war (the Iran/Iraq war) since World War II, killing more than a million people. The war killed tens of thousands of teenage boys and hundreds of thousands of civilians. Saddam Hussein created some of the world's largest ecological disasters, including the massive gulf oil spill that exponentially dwarfs other fodder for alarmists such as the BP Gulf spill. Saddam Hussein conducted genocidal policies against ethnic minorities such as the Kurds of northern Iraq. He distinguished himself by using weapons of mass destruction on women and children at Halabja. These were among the more than 300,000 Kurds he killed in an internationally ignored policy of genocide.

The details of his brutal reign were vividly accounted for in 2002 by noted genocide author (and Obama advisor) Samantha Power. Her account of global genocide severely chastised the global ambivalence to this usage of weapons of mass destruction against civilians. The bipartisan U.S. congressional authorization for force against Saddam Hussein repeatedly referenced these humanitarian violations rooted in this obscene usage of chemical weapons. Saddam Hussein was finally removed from power in 2003, put on trial in Iraq by Iraqis, and put to death by Iraqis for his crimes against Iraqi civilians. His removal brought to an end to these various genocidal policies and has rendered northern Iraq one of the nation's most supportive regions with regard to the American military operations that so profoundly benefited their daily livelihoods.

Something happened to them, that's for sure. I'm guessing David Blaine got a hold of them.

I am amazed sometimes that people cannot take big news stories and piece them together if they are more than a week apart. The answer to your question of where the WMD's are has unfolded on your TV over the last several years. With all the conspiracy theorists around here why hasn't anyone noticed this?

Probably because you are talking out of your ass or regurgitating something a learned professor wowed you with. Don't worry though, your fearless messiah Julian will show you the light soon.

I'm amazed that people wont admit that the Bush administration fabricated BS to sell the Iraq war to the religious right sheep in this country.

Doesn't fit the anti-war agenda.
These are the same people waiting for Iran to come to the table and talk.
