Orson Charles (announcing at 4:30 pm EST)

"I'm kind of excited, because when I make the decision, finally I can move on. Then I can learn the playbook and work on their workout plan and get bigger and start from there. It is a new step in my life," Charles told UGASports Tuesday night in an exclusive interview.

"It has been up and down, a lot of thinking involved and I have been calling a lot of people to meet with them. I called Mike Williams, I called Michael Clayton, I called a couple people that played in the NFL, called some of my own coaching staff, and I just got back today from talking to Tony Dungy. I called a lot of people who can put me in the right direction, tell me pros and cons and such," said Charles.

That screams UT to me. :dance2:

"I feel real good about the coaches and I think they know what they want to do and what they want to accomplish," Charles said. "Right from the get go I talked to some of the players when I was there and what Lane told us, he told them. He said there is not going to be any walk-throughs, you have to earn your spot. That is the type of coach I would like to be coached by, that's strong right there. The players feel they are more competitive and they will win many more games than they did last year. And playing in front of 108,000 people, that is just crazy. I walked on the field and I got goose bumps. I was looking around and I was like, wow."

It's in the bag. Thanks, Mike and Tony.

and the kick in the teeth....

"Out of all the schools, I know them the best. I have a good relationship with Coach Lilly; I have a good relationship with Aaron and a couple of the other boys. Mettenberger he is just hilarious, I was just chilling with him on my official and some guys that try to be funny, and he is just hilarious. I talked to Derrick Lott; we really kicked it on the visit. It was to the point that if I went to Georgia, I would really like to room with him.... His mom and my mom really left on a good note. I have been talking and texting Aaron lately as well."

I admit that mom comment shook me, but Ive come this far so I might as well ride it out. All Trojan.

He is probably going to say good things about all of his visits. I am sure there were things he liked about all of them. I personally think he picks Georgia on Friday. I am crossing my fingers, but I really don't think UT will be given much thought, and I am not convinced he was ever really considering anyone but Georgia. I hope I'm wrong.

Yeah...he had some nice thoughts on UT, but in the end, I have a hard time seeing him pass at UGA. I am still hopeful that we can pull a Janzen or a Nuke, but I'm not confident...thats for sure.

I'm sure this has been said, and there is probably a logical explination, but if he is in fact all dawg... Why wait to sign? What does he benefit from taking visits to other schools he has no interest in?

I don't buy that he's going to be a dawg when this is all said and done.

He did say he'd call all the staffs and listen to final comments before making his decision on Friday. He's going to take off his jacket and show off the jersey underneath apparently.

The way he has talked about that #7 jersey dosent sound good for us...Since its not available at UT.

I honestly don't think he knows where he wants to go.. he is completely torn.. I believe he knew that he wanted to go to UGA but didnt expect to like USC and UT as much as he did and now comes the hard decision of whether to go where he will be most comfortable (UGA) or go outside that comfort zone.. if he picks friday based on comfort alone then its UGA all the way
