If you look at his scenerio rationally (without orange glasses) it makes the most sense for him to sign with us. I mean lets face it...what do all of these kids want more than anything? Answer: playing time. All he has to do is look at the depth charts to make his final decision.

i think that is the only reason we are in the race for him. clearing out a couple TE spots, may it have been for other reasons, was a well timed move. as someone else mentioned, i would love to hear the discussion between he and Mike Williams. Kiff referenced MW as a selling point to OC and then OC has a conversation with MW. i think that conversation could have a big impact on OCs decision.

I knew CLK talked to OC about MW, but did OC actually talk to MW himself?

If so, I like what that does for UT's chances.

This is what scares me. I have read a few articles today where CLK was critical of MW in the NFL. Granted it was MW fault for being out of shape and dropping passes. But it is all how MW took it.

FWIW just saw on Tharinger.com that "Rumors swirling that TE/WR Orson Charles has Tennessee out in front". He will announce and sign on March 6th. This just posted a little bit ago.

This could be huge!

If we sign OC and BB... we're fielding a competitive football team this fall. And, give Kiffin and Company another year, and Urban had better be gone to ND with all his trash talking or he'll face the music in 2010.

Yes, just another piece to the puzzle. Get BB and it starts the ball rolling for upcoming recruiting season in making a statement to programs around the country !

screw 2010.. i want him to face the music this fall.. i can't help but believe deep down in my heart that tennessee is gonna win every game every year no matter what. i don't care what kind of odds the vols are facing, logic has no grounds here. in my eyes, the vols are at least a two touchdown favorite in every game. period.

I hope that is true too. As many have said i feel its a UGA- UT race. Playing time is key. But I am just not sure that in our short time we can make up for the relationship built between Charles and the UGA staff.

I hope you didnt do any sports betting with that theory last year. Nevermind, you couldnt have. You still have a computer. I dont want to see this trend continue but, for this year, our staff needed all the time it could to play catchup with OC and BB. Hope it pays off.

ok so far we have two sources saying charles is leaning towards UT....I think one can get it wrong but what about two? Just a thought

I can deal losing OC to USC...I can NOT deal with another one of our targets going to UGA. Oh, the crap I hear in this freakin' red and black state. I NEED this guy to either choose UT or head west to the SLACK 10.

M.W. has an awful attitude, I know from first hand experience, when he was on the titans he and some other players would come and play basketball at the YMCA I go to. I played a couple games with them and watched few, he constantly complained and bitched. That's most likely why he never made it in the league. I think Orson Charles has the same talent and ability and a much better attitude and work ethic. BTW mike Williams has an AWFUL work ethic.
