Our coaches hit the road today evaluating prospects....

You're absolutely right. We've been just screwing around in this thread. What we need to do is get down to the serious business that internet message boards are all about. What was that again?

I'm 100% certain he's going to fail. Thus, I am preemptively hoping the athletic department keeps the suffering to a minimum. Dooley's tenure will be to Tennessee history what John Blake's was to OU's.

I hope you are 100% wrong. Come on Hat...give him a break. Can't you at least wait a couple of years and see how he does? Do you hope that he does fail, or do you honestly hope he succeeds here, but you just know that he isn't going to?

i think we will be a 5 or 6 win team this year.

i think if CLK and staff woulda stayed, we woulda won 6 or 7, and it doesn't really have anything to with coaching. we woulda have been able to bring in better depth on the OL and at DT and our best OT and best RB would still be here.

Dooley will be find if he gets a chance.

Bryce- yes. Aaron- what was he gonna do, record with Lil Wayne and Kiff?

I want to see him succeed. However, barring a move from the SEC to the Sun Belt, that's not going to happen.

The fact that we are still discussing Kiffin here is nauseating. That's not an indictment of anyone here, merely an observation.

Amen. I said the other day Kiff's like PT Barnum. Even when the side show is gone we still are talking about him. Making me believe Hat secretly wishes he was a Carny.

This was a lame year regardless. Next year is the measure of DD.

Lastly Kiff gets too much credit becuase he knows how to steal it! He had a good thing at USC and does again. He had his Dad for this gig and his new one and anyone that says we or they would have definately taken KIff without Monte is full if it. He'll be sucessful until his dad's gone and he can't find talented coaches that will work with him.

I hope the decision makers agree with you. That way, it'll only take two years for Dooley to be fired.

I hope you are so wrong Hat!! I mean that in the most genuine way.

I met Dooley in Knoxville and he was very nice and seemed extremely genuine. He had more personality in his left finger than CLK had in his entire body. This will bode well with recruits and their families. Nobody likes a stuck up SOB!!

Saying that, being a nice guy doesnt equate to being a great coach, but based on my first impression when meeting him, I will extend him the benefit of the doubt, and wish him all the luck as our coach.

After all, he accepted the job to coach our beloved Vols and if he succeeds, then we all reap the benefits.

Calling the guy a failure before he even coaches a game is not fair to him and the team.

Remember "Innocent until proven guilty"

Imagine how pathetic that makes the people who take the time to whine about my posts.

Might as well forget that Hat, we are going to have CDD at least 4 years because of the way his contract is structured. That means either firing him or him deciding to leave and go some place else.

I will say I like the guy and I like the staff, has he made a couple mistakes ..... ya probably but so did kiff and so has every other coach that has ever been hired at a job. Deciding before he ever coaches a game here if he will win or lose is just crazy. I hope he wins because I am a UT fan and would rather be successful. Everyone including you Hat points to his tenure at La-Tech to decide if he will work here. I dont hold the 1st year against him because the team was just really bad when he go there. The 2nd year he got some good recruits (based on what they had before - not SEC lvl). The 3rd year those guys got hurt and he hadnt had time to build depth yet.

Same thing could happen here this year. We have a good or decent starting team on Offense and Defense, after that we are kinda screwed and if we have injuries at a few key places we will be hurting. Also late in games those poor starters on D are going to be tired unless the O can stay out on the field any time. I hope we do well , but arguing at the moment about if CDD will be a success here or not with the certainty you guys are doing is kinda pointless at this juncture. Unless you just want something to talk about.

I imagine not nearly as pathetic as someone who logs onto a message board each and everyday to vomit constant hate all over his/her keyboard.

Don't worry I won't be bothering with you anymore, added to the ignore list. Carry on hating lol...

You imagine wrong. It makes you far more pathetic. I don't complain about your nonsensical, childlike optimism. I simply ridicule it.

Hat who did you expect to get as a coach? Just curious as to who you think we could have gotten other than Dooley? And I mean someone we truly had a shot at. I am not saying that we made a good hire with Dooley. Although I didn't see any world beater coaches out there beating the doors down either to come in here and take this disaster over. He definately has his work cut out for him. Hopefully the coaching crew he has with him can help put this program back together. Only time will tell.

Why wouldn't I be? When America elected George W. Bush, I was 100% certain a mouthbreathing retard had become president. Why? He was a mouthbreathing retard when he was the governor of Texsucks. Thus, I'm confident Dooley will be a failure at Tennessee. Why? He was a failure at Louisiana Tech. Stepping up in weight class when you haven't proven you can handle you business where you're at doesn't work out well.

OK, that explains alot, you are one of those. You for Obama by the way and what is your take on our current president if you don't mind me asking.

Obama is also exactly what I knew he would be. A liberal, elitist career politician masquerading as an agent of change. I'm not impressed.

Guys... you can forget Hat giving fair consideration to anyone who has a southern twang in their speech.
