I'm 100% certain he's going to fail. Thus, I am preemptively hoping the athletic department keeps the suffering to a minimum. Dooley's tenure will be to Tennessee history what John Blake's was to OU's.
i think we will be a 5 or 6 win team this year.
i think if CLK and staff woulda stayed, we woulda won 6 or 7, and it doesn't really have anything to with coaching. we woulda have been able to bring in better depth on the OL and at DT and our best OT and best RB would still be here.
Dooley will be find if he gets a chance.
I want to see him succeed. However, barring a move from the SEC to the Sun Belt, that's not going to happen.I hope you are 100% wrong. Come on Hat...give him a break. Can't you at least wait a couple of years and see how he does? Do you hope that he does fail, or do you honestly hope he succeeds here, but you just know that he isn't going to?
The fact that we are still discussing Kiffin here is nauseating. That's not an indictment of anyone here, merely an observation.
I hope the decision makers agree with you. That way, it'll only take two years for Dooley to be fired.

To borrow from Ken Anderson: "Nice guys finish last. Thank God almighty, I'm an *******."I hope you are so wrong Hat!! I mean that in the most genuine way.
I met Dooley in Knoxville and he was very nice and seemed extremely genuine. He had more personality in his left finger than CLK had in his entire body. This will bode well with recruits and their families. Nobody likes a stuck up SOB!!
Saying that, being a nice guy doesnt equate to being a great coach, but based on my first impression when meeting him, I will extend him the benefit of the doubt, and wish him all the luck as our coach.
After all, he accepted the job to coach our beloved Vols and if he succeeds, then we all reap the benefits.
Calling the guy a failure before he even coaches a game is not fair to him and the team.
Remember "Innocent until proven guilty"
Imagine how pathetic that makes the people who take the time to whine about my posts.
You imagine wrong. It makes you far more pathetic. I don't complain about your nonsensical, childlike optimism. I simply ridicule it.I imagine not nearly as pathetic as someone who logs onto a message board each and everyday to vomit constant hate all over his/her keyboard.
Don't worry I won't be bothering with you anymore, added to the ignore list. Carry on hating lol...
Hat who did you expect to get as a coach? Just curious as to who you think we could have gotten other than Dooley? And I mean someone we truly had a shot at. I am not saying that we made a good hire with Dooley. Although I didn't see any world beater coaches out there beating the doors down either to come in here and take this disaster over. He definately has his work cut out for him. Hopefully the coaching crew he has with him can help put this program back together. Only time will tell.
Why wouldn't I be? When America elected George W. Bush, I was 100% certain a mouthbreathing retard had become president. Why? He was a mouthbreathing retard when he was the governor of Texsucks. Thus, I'm confident Dooley will be a failure at Tennessee. Why? He was a failure at Louisiana Tech. Stepping up in weight class when you haven't proven you can handle you business where you're at doesn't work out well.
