Our coaches hit the road today evaluating prospects....

You're the one who made the ridiculous statement the other day about "great teams not being measured by wins and losses." When the clowns and second raters we are paying to destroy the program ring up a 4-8 or 5-7 this year, you can come here and tell us how "the team was like family" and how "great" they really were.

Just out of curoisty hat, do you think the previous crew could have faired much better? If so, how much?

I think there is more to a great team than wins and losses, I was just making a point that a 40 point loss and a 1 point loss are the same at the end of the day.

A little too NIIIIICE in san fran for ya boi if you know what I mean.

i heard that, but it is a cool place to chill out in for a long weekend with MY WIFE (need the qualifier here) at the Marina District or at the Wharf.

I'll bet if you lived a few years in Auburn you'd miss the West Coast. The streets are paved with manure.

I admit, I have not been to Auburn. But the list of towns I've been to that I wouldn't take over LA is somewhere close to zero. Spent four years in Due West, SC (yes, there is a town with that name), and I'd take that in a heartbeat.

poor Sab.

keep diggin that hole brah.

There you go again. You don't win simply by declaring yourself the winner, LV. You have to bring it. I'm not in any hole whatsoever. You are the one who keeps contending that we should babysit recruits that we don't even plan on offering. Seems that hole is built just the right size for you to fit in.

They'd have won 7 or 8, then been poised to contend in '11.

So, if we stay healthy and win this many with Dooley, I will make sure to pull this post back up. If we don't, you can pull it up and tell me you told me so, and I will say, "but we had a great team." I think all teams that play here are great, but I'm just a fan.

Yeah, getting bulldozed three times at home this year won't have a different effect on recruiting than playing the eventual National Champion to the gun on their field last year. Nobody will even notice. I'm pretty sure fans and recruitis don't even watch games and check scores. They simply look at the standings Monday morning.

Maybe 7.....I do agree with 11 though.

I have put though into your interim coach idea. I still don't know if it would have been any better than now. I don't know if money could cover what it would take to boost a coach's ego to come here with what they would be facing.

i think we will be a 5 or 6 win team this year.

i think if CLK and staff woulda stayed, we woulda won 6 or 7, and it doesn't really have anything to with coaching. we woulda have been able to bring in better depth on the OL and at DT and our best OT and best RB would still be here.

Dooley will be find if he gets a chance.

it would have been a tough year no matter who the coach was. I think Dooley will be a solid coach fwiw.

I was a little kid when Bill Battle was here,, Are you old enough to know Bill Battle? I faintly remember Bill Battle being a 'solid' coach. Tell me you have a better opinion of Dooley than Bill Battle

They all can't play at Florida or Bama hat, they have to go play where they can play, wins and losses aside for the most part.
