Banks had one bad game. We hav had a nationally ranked defense the entire year. Tops in the SEC for the majority of the year. The ONLY reason we are gonna finish 10-2 is because of Sampson and the defense.Blue font but DC needs to go. OC needs to go and get a true OC who calls plays. OL coach needs fired. We will never be elite with this play calling. None of us our paid coaches and we can literally guess what he’s going to call.

You are clueless.
Maybe you should send your resume to DW. Were a top 10 team going to Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for CJH, I remember when things were much worse. Apparently you forgot or just wasn't here.Reviewing the post mortem comments after last night's game, I see many comments blaming players. This is college ball, so you play the hand you are dealt. Nico always over throws his receivers on the long bomb, so delete it from the playbook. Sure, Dylan Samson is always good for 2-3 yards but we run that play up the middle too often. So if I, a TV room armchair doofus knows what play they will call next, then I'm pretty certain the opposing defense also knows it's coming.
Last night they called Sampson's number at mid field on a 2nd and 12. He gained 3 yards, and good for Sampson--that's what he does. But now the Vols are facing 3rd and 9, a low probability gain to convert. It stopped the drive. Are they incorporating their analytics?
The coaches have virtually no trick plays in their book. A fake punt at mid field is a play they can't even conceive of. They don't break up the plays enough to keep the opposing defense guessing. They don't have enough screen plays in their playbook; I saw only one screen last night. That stupid lateral pass to the sidelines has to go. The line of scrimmage discipline is atrocious, and it's obvious that all season Heupel has neglected the well established simple fix: execute pre-snap drills in practice.
The playbook needs a complete overhaul. Tailor the playbook to Nico's talents: short to mid range passes. More screens and more short slants to the sidelines. This will spread their defense deeper and wider and will enhance Sampson's rushing average. And finally, Josh Heupel needs to fire offensive coordinator Joey Halzle. The problem is the coaching.
Correct. We've seen it over and over this season. When the game changes and the other team adjusts and limits what we were doing, we act like the Kamala Harris campaign and doubles down on the now unworkable. We do not show the ability to make adjustments ourselves it seems. The offense is very simplistic. They're not even trying to run hurry up much.. If there is a knock on the coaching staff it's lack of in game adjustments imo.. Seems we have a plan and if it doesn't work we just win or lose with it.. The 4-3-4 deal by Banks was shat..
The players looked sharp and ready to play for awhile. The lack of adjustments is on the coaches. We have to dial up more blitzes and take more shots down the field.Nah. It's both. Players failed to make several plays. Coaches failed to adjust and had the team poorly prepared. Plenty of failure across the board.
I think this is more on Nico than the staff. Also, we need to upgrade the receivers. They are not as good as Tillman and Hyatt.Throwing this out there. Another glaring problem we have is the failure to push the ball downfield. We always need these 70 yard drives just dunking and dunking the whole time. This offense needs those 50 yard plays that puts us in the red zone quickly and I can count on one hand how often that has happened in conference play.
That's right they ran plays that confused Defence.....Vols did run play for TE @ goal lineSome truth here. GA called some creative plays last night that really opened up the game. Other teams do the same.
What frustrates me are the dead ball fouls and dropped balls that hit hands. I didn’t attribute that to coaching (other than recruiting maybe).

FIRE THEM ALL
