Overrated Bands

AC/DC is one of the top 5 or 10 rock bands of all-time. Their back catalogue is second to the Beatles in all-time sales. Overrated? I think not.

It's because they have made the same album `15 times.

This is exactly my point. ACDC is solid, but they most certainly aren't in the same league as the following:

Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
The Rolling Stones
Queen
The Beatles
The Doors
The Clash
The Allman Brothers Band
Metallica
The Who
The Eagles

ACDCs songs are all similar in meaning and sound. The above all incorporated a wide variety, sans maybe Metallica.

Just because their music is simplistic doesn't mean it is any worse than anybody else's. I don't argue that they are better than the first five that you mentioned, but they are certainly not far behind them.

Both The Stones and Metallica's newer stuff isn't great by any stretch.

Metallica's zenith was certainly in the mid-80s with the albums Kill 'Em All, Ride The Lightning, and Master of Puppets.

Some Girls, Exile On Main St., Sticky Fingers, Let It Bleed, and Beggars Banquet are The Stones' best albums, whilst a few of their other really good songs are spread out over their other 5,000 albums.

You do realize that the only reason anyone knows Bob Marley is potheads think they learn something about themselves by listening to something that is "deep" or "has meaning". Yet you overlook the fact that Reggae all sounds the same.

lulz I'm not a 311 fan. Just in my experiences, 311 fans tend to be potheads. 311 is without a doubt, a green friendly band.

Their first album, Music was impressive, as was their follow up Grassroots, beyond that, meh.
