Overrated TV Shows

I'm gonna go with Friends and Seinfeld. Also agree with OB2 about cop and law shows, they are boredom material, unless there is a drunk redneck explaining that he wasn't driving, it was the stuffed bear in the back seat behind the wheel.

I think of Seinfeld kinda like Babe Ruth. Great during it's time but no way it could compete with the current offerings.

Seinfeld was awesome when you compared it to Friends, Frasier, Mad About You, Family Matters, Home Improvement, etc. But it pales in comparison to shows like Sopranos, The Wire, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Curb etc.

Seinfeld was the best show of the 90's but the next decade was way better.

you are comparing 2 very different types of shows. If you stay in the same "30min network tv sitcom" then Seinfeld would hold its own

I agree but TV has changed a lot since then and you can't ignore that. Shows like Dexter didn't exist in the 90's and you said the GOAT not the greatest network sitcom.

the only thing that's changed are more channels offering different types of shows. The same network tv sitcoms still hold down the same spots nightly. Comparing the Sopranos to Seinfeld is ridiculous

Not when you say that something is the GOAT with no regard to genre, network, time-slot, or demographic. GOAT is way too vague.

Two and a half men is overrated it's just an ok show. Not sure how it gets more ratings than the office

OMG!?!?! THEY'RE PULLING A CAKE THROUGH THE WINDOW WITH A ROPE???? HAHAHAHA!

I don't mind the show but it's not all it's cracked up to be. Even worse are the snobs that can't believe you don't like it and think it's too witty for you or something. Right... as if I can't comprehend being stuck on a toilet with a dirty a**.

I suppose I only saw a handful of episodes but I never got into it. Maybe it's because I heard from multiple people how amazing it is. I didn't see anything that warranted all the hype.

You can't just watch some random episodes and expect to get anything out of it. I understand why some might not like it though, it's not for everybody.

Seinfeld and Lost are two of my favorite shows.
