Tennessee will welcome just a handful of visitors for next week's season opener against Appalachian State. But, as of now, the list includes 5-star defensive back Lamonte Wade. The biggest question for Wade, though, may be logistics. He has a game Friday night back in Pennsylvania and the plan is to leave Tennessee at the conclusion of the game.

Either way, a very positive sign he and his family want to make that trip, especially knowing they will be back in town for an official visit later in the month.

Same with Penn State as well, other than they may be unstable with their coaching staff as to who know how long Franklin will stay at the helm.

I think he's referring to the fact Wade will travel the day before a game. I could definitely see some HS coaches taking issue with that, particularly when 99% of college games take place on the weekend.

I am and especially the distance. He will definitely had some kind of lag during that game. But as a Vols fan I will say that it does say a lot about how he likes Tennessee

Playing for Narduzzi would be much better for his NFL stock than PSU. Hopefully playing for Shoop is better than both in his eyes.

Plus the star system is a good...not great ....system. Also the more stud 4 and 5* kids you get....the more attractive UT is to the elite imo

Probably why we moved him to offense...already loaded at safety, so we can get him on the field faster on offense.
