Pacman Jones

Also, if you think Chris Henry deserves either 12 games or an entire season then you also should consider Pacman getting a lengthier sentence.

I don't think that. Pac has never been convicted of anything. Chris Henry has. Convictions are worse than accusations.

The way I look at it is that Pac has done more bad in the league for the last 2 years than Henry. ESPN criticizes Pac more than Henry, but the thing that disturbs me is that Pac doesn't live up to his word and follow through with his promises.

I have to disagree 100%. Honestly, I think there are several players that have done more bad in the league than Pac. Jones is no choir boy, but he's not the worst in the league, either.

Then why does he have the worst penalty in the league currently?

Exactly. I think the commissioner didn't do the right thing. Pac deserves a punishment. Chris Henry deserves a more severe punishment. There are a bunch of guys (if the rules worked ex post facto) deserve even worse. The only problem I have with the situation is that Chris Henry got a lighter sentence.

The only thing Pac has going for him is that most of his troubles happened before the new rules, if they're going by his actions after the rules were regulated then he would deserve an 8 or 4 game penaly.

And to an enormous corporate entity like the NFL, bad publicity is worth than either. The commissioner's new policy is basically that the whole legal process is irrelevant. Convictions, formal charges -- these things don't matter anymore. The commissioner reserves the right to suspend anyone at any time for damaging the league's image, regardless of what happens from a legal standpoint.

Jones's incident in Vegas got an enormous amount of national attention, making it "worse" than what Henry or Johnson did. Add to that how repeatedly Jones has been in trouble, and he was probably an easy choice to be Goodell's first lay-the-hammer-down suspension.

Another early morning strip club shoot out where Pac Man may be involved......Can this guy find a new act?

And a special thanks for doing it in my hometown.

Apparently he wasn't even present when the shooting took place.

He really should some new people to party with, however.

Yeah I heard that it was his entourage....again

Didn't he tell the Commish that he would be under a self-imposed midnight curfew and saty away from strip clubs?

you know, when my dog pisses in the floor, i smack her with a rolled up newspaper. she does it couple of more times, and then she finally gets the message.

repititive behavior will only be curbed if there is a consequence for performing that behavior.

otherwise, my carpet would smell like piss today.

Well the NFL commish has slapped him once. Evidently your dog is more intelligent than Jones.

he was suspended for a full season, costing him a truckload of cash. i'd say that's a pretty solid whack on the head. some just aren't going to learn (ie Steve Howe), especially those with large entourages

Pacman is a disgrace to sports. How many 2nd chances can he get. He's working on about his 10th now. If he really wants to play in the NFL he should stop doing this stuff. He should just stay home because if he leaves his house usually something bad happens. I admit that he's a great cornerback and I want him to play for the Titans forever, but if I was the commish I would ban him from the league. He's ruined to many second chances in the past 2-3 seasons.

I'll wait for Stunna n Orange to come by and defend Pacman as a man of the people who performs great acts of philanthropy.
