Paris Terror Attack Underway

Ironic Timing – Report: First load of Anticipated “10,000 Syrian Refugees” Has Arrived in New Orleans…. | The Last Refuge

New Orleans – […] The first transport of refugees arrived in New Orleans recently and will be resettled in Louisiana and 180 other American communities.

[…] The 10,000 Syrian refugees are first flown to the United States, according to the French news wire Agence France-Presse, with the State Department paying the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for the airfare.

Then, once the refugees arrive in the country, they could be dispersed across the 180 cities listed above, where they are to aided within the first 30 to 90 days in settling and finding employment in the area.

After approximately 90 days, refugees are no longer eligible for the State Department-funded support that they were receiving through migrant and refugee services. However, they are able to join support programs through the Department of Health and Human Services.

Additionally, it is unclear how much the screening process for the 10,000 Syrian refugees will cost American taxpayers.

The State Department spent $1.1 billion resettling people from around the world in the country last year. That’s about $16,000 per person. (read full article)

Not a dam one of the 3 Dem candidates will use the term "radical Islam" in their debate.

There was mention on CBS earlier that it was an unseasonably warm night in Paris.

F'n global warming.

You have to give them credit... the media is just trying to throw enough stuff on the wall to see what will stick. They probably won't get too many to believe that weather is linked to terrorism, but they have been successful in convincing us that it is in America's best interest to get involved in Syria over the last 2-3 years. That isn't that much less ridiculous that what Sanders is saying...

I'm all about annihilating radical Islam. Annihalting, not remove, occupy and rebuild. Flat out f'n destroy. Abu Sayyaf, Isis, Al Qaeda, etc. Whatever it takes. That we can do just fine. It's the whole "Being nice and rebuilding" that takes time, money and most importantly, lives.

As I'm sure you do as well. The problem being in the information flow downward is not always what it needs to be. This isn't a slam on your work or comrades Tim, but you know information that would be helpful doesn't always make it to the lower levels.

Even after 9/11 the "need to know" spouted by so many federal agencies as an excuse to close hold information made it harder for local and state levels to do their jobs.

Not a decision that worker bees make. I agree to an extent, but you have to bear in mind the investigations behind the information. It often gets compromised even with safeguards in place. Im not in the know any more (never was totally), its almost a relief. Ignorance is truly blissful.

What a weird ****ing thread this turned into

Indeed. It's like 15 years of braining ourselves to death in the Middle East has taught us nothing.

When Ras makes more sense than most others in a particular thread, you know VolNation Politics Forum has jumped the shark.

If you feel that strongly, then me, you and everyone else that is concerned should urge their representatives to declare war on The House of Saud...

Until that is done, I won't believe we are being serious about fighting terrorism.

You guys realize that Syrian refugees are fleeing from these types of attacks right? The single greatest purpose of this country is to give people like this opportunities to have a new life.

If you genuinely believe all of these people are terrorists then, uh, okay. You're on an internet forum and can be as insensitive as you want.

These kind of attacks were not occurring in Syria until the US began to move in to the country...

Then where are all the women and children? It's overwhelmingly young males 18 to 30 who should be at home fighting for their cause..

I understand the deep cover investigations, sources and methods, linking back to parent organizations/other cells, so on and so forth in many of the cases. However, I've personally seen selected three letter agencies state "yes, group X is working in this particular area and no, you have no need to know what specifically they are doing."

Being that I happened to be at a pretty substantial target at the time, it was frustrating. And sometimes the legs on the ground at the tip of the spear need to know what kind of work to look for. Surveillance? Elicitation? Planning? Rehearsals? Just a generic "yep, bad guys are in your area" doesn't suffice even with local LEOs that had far more jurisdiction than we did.
