Pearl Grants Griffith's Wish

Ever practice what you preach? Letting the best players handle the ball is not a new concept. That is what we have been doing, and we are on a 3 game losing streak. Change is needed. Period.
I will agree with your change is needed statement.

and thats the level we are striving for? Hansborough transferred from Miss State and by all accounts is a much better player than Kansas Mac

What level? Miss St just beat us a couple years ago in the SEC tourney. Someone asked where he would get pt and those are the schools in the SEC where he would be playing. Shooting from the 2 isn't working and he was brought in to shoot. When things don't go well, you adapt. We'll see what happens.

For example. Who controls the ball 90% of almost every single offensive possession? Hopson and/or Harris? Or Goins standing 50 feet from the basket? Yea, that is "halarious."

It is, which is why something has to change if we want any shot at making the tournament.

saying it's too late to make a change now is crazy. Do whatever you need to up until the SEC tournament to get a spark. The status quo isin't working. Maybe it's the best we have and maybe it's not. If we stay the same we probably make the tournament and a quick exit. If we change and it works maybe we make a run. The change will not make us worse at the PG spot right now no matter who plays.

Keep the lineup up the way it is, yet climb in the rear-ends of your better players to step up and take charge. If you want to hide the PG, as Bruce is leaning towards, then hide your better athletes who don't pose such a glaring weakness on the defensive end. Much better than throwing a guy who can't play the position. Not fair to the team, or even McBee for that matter.

Definitely an option they considered and if they are really trying to hide the pg then it would probably be a better option. I don't think BP is trying to hide the pg. I think he is just trying to get a few assists out of pg.

I have a hard time believing he would get that much time at even those schools. But it is what it is and this year we are on par with the schools you have mentioned.

How about we cut, set screens, set up screens, defend, stop switching the PG- C screens, crash the defensive boards vice effing runouts, stop the idiotic wholesale substitution silliness and make a MFin FT.

Then by all means change the pathetic excuse of half-court offense we use.

I am all for this. How do you suggest Pearl makes it happen?

At this point the team is what it is and that is a very flawed basketball squad. Skylar will be terrible at the point and this move reeks of desperation.
