Pearl Has Zero Credibility Now

This is one of the dumbest threads I have ever read. I am glad the bare bottom is hanging out for everyone to see....

Paying a recruit and giving his parents money is the exact same thing as sending extra text messages....

Shouldn't you be following the sirens?

You better brace yourself for you hero's termination. We can all hope you follow him to whatever program he runs in the ground next.

Very well stated. I think the honorable thing would be for Pearl to step aside if Hamilton doesn't have the ***** to fire him. While he's at it, perhaps Hamilton should also step aside. Thanks to his decisions, both the basketball and football programs are now in shambles.
If the football and basketball programs are in a shambles then MH should be removed.

For all of you calling us drama queens or what have you, see Roger Clemens for some help on the gravity of this problem. He's not going to prison because of the steroids. He's going to prison for lying to Congress. I realize that the NCAA is not Congress and that Bruce Pearl is not going to prison for this, but for those of you who think this is going to go away in 2 weeks or that the NCAA doesn't really mind too much when they are lied to in an investigation, you are in for an unfortunate surprise. This is a major problem for all those who support Tennessee Basketball and a huge blow to Coach Pearl.

I'll have fun watching you defend Pearl on this one.

I'm sorry for not drawing pictures for some of our "special" members. It is fact that this is only beginning. The NCAA investigation is just now beginning. No one knows if they will find anything else. I was pointing out that that was a possibility.

There has not been any information released that said the basketball program is under anymore investigation outside of the phone calls. The fact is this is the beginning for the Athletic Department (football included), not the Basketball department. You were pointing to your own speculation so you can bolster your hate on Pearl.

Wanna know the facts?

We got in trouble for contacting recruits.

Pearl got punished severely as did his assistants.

Hamilton doesn't expect anything further to come from it.

Done deal.

Anything else is speculation. The penalties probably far succeeded the crime, so once again get your panties out of your ass.

Lofton4Three, I am glad you are still trotting out your absurd misunderstanding about the employment law case I did for an ambulance driver...

Mike Hamilton lets see....

Does Big Jim like you still? Yes...

What about Mr. Sansom? Yes...

Hmmm...so surely B Ray wants you fired? Nope???

Is this guy dumb enough to think Fulmer and Thunder Thornton have the juice to get rid of the AD?

This letter of inquiry is only involved with looking at the basketball program according to Hubbs and KNS.

Plus, Pearl had the balls and integrity to notify Hamilton days after the fact that he lied in his answers to the NCAA before the NCAA caught it. How many times has Calipari come forward to notify his school of his wrongdoings? He jumps ship and leaves the school in his wake to deal with probation.

Again, you're a douche bag, half fan.

I'll overlook the insults considering the source. But, if you actually believe the bolded part, you are the most naive person in the world.

NCAA LOI says investigation has started on Vols "athletics program." Doesn't specify sport. Sounds like everyone, everything is fair game.

This according to Rucker.

The will continue to investigate into December.

Once again this could've been much worse if the NCAA said Pearl was lying before Pearl came to them saying he mislead them. If he had not done this, he would've been in severe trouble.

Let the police come to your house and see if you don't say anything it takes to get them to leave.

Keep telling yourself that. I actually thought for a split second you're not quite as big of an idiot as your posts suggest.

You proved me wrong, though.

Lying is the issue here MHF. We could all accept too many phone calls or text messages unless it was a wide-spread practice, but lying under oath to the NCAA is too much to simply write off as not serious. As a proclaimed attorney, you should be aware of this.

If he admitted it, how did he cover it up ? Or do you meen he didn't turn himself in until he was asked about it ?

LawVol13...you sir, are a douche bag.

Pearl lied about phone calls to recruits. Calipari gets players paid to come to Kentucky. Hardly comparable.

You suck. Go Pearl and Go Vols!!!

This has nothing to do with Calipari. He has not been charged with anything and hasn't had a tearful press conference admitting he lied to the NCAA. You are the douche bag and you, sir, are the one that sucks as you are willing to accept any type behavior if your team wins. It is absurd to keep the everyone does it routine and this type of cheating isn't as bad as other types. There is simply no way to defend this behavior and you have serious problems with integrity by trying to defend it.
