And the university has made him a very rich man and one of the top 5% (I'm assuming) paid coaches.

So you are saying Bruce Pearl is the only coach who could get UT to the Sweet 16 for $2.5 to $3 Mil?

Oh crap, the who you gon' get line.

We don't wanna lose CBP, but the overwhelming money you imply is a fantasy. We gave poured enormous money into hoops and are committed for much more.

Regardless, the assumption that our commient to hoops and fan support can no longer get a coach is senseless. We want the guy here, but good grief.

All true. BP as a coach is not worth the $3 Mil (possibly more) it would take for Iowa to get him.

I don't want Pearl to leave, but if he's going to leverage other medium profile jobs every summer to get a raise let him go.

And give him credit for raising the profile of this job. We could hire a much better coach this year that we could have 5 years ago.

Actually it is time for the NCAA, Hamilton, and the board of Trustees to pull some Obamanomics on these coaches and make them give up bonuses and pay raises. Who is to say that they are any better than these corporate executives?

These raises just keep driving up the price of tickets and that is getting old.

Uhm I mentioned attendance at the very beginning. I don't know what your criteria for paying someone 3 mil a year is, but if I was doing the hiring it sure wouldn't be someone that can't get more than 6000 people in TBA.
