Pearl to Iowa??

Ramar Smith has a lot to do with it. He was a 5* recruit that played point guard. He'd be a senior now. Tennessee is working with two juco point guards because of it.

Right, and Pearl is the one who recruited that criminal. It's Pearl's fault for placing his future teams in the hands of a guy who is just as much comfortable with a gun in his hand as a basketball.

Since you're obviously President of the Steve Forbes Fan Club, I'd hope so. You're like most of the people stupid enough to believe in those charlatians. If they say it, it must be true. You'd have made a great Nazi.

When you dig through your childish namecalling there really isn't much there when the dust settles.

Not to mention wasn't "college" material by any stretch of the imagination.

Coming from you , that means nothing to me. You came on here and make assertions a whole bunch of people here know to be false in an attempt to fluff your pals on the UT staff. That's your act. Why would I do anything other than ridicule you for it? The only reason I care if that staff continues to draw breath is that UT needs someone to coach during the NCAAs. When they finally leave, I'll be rooting for them to lose each and every game they are involved in. That's the extent of it. Never had any extended contact with any of them and wouldn't speak to any of them if I ran into them tomorrow. I hold them in just as high a regard as most of their peers do.

I have made ZERO false comments on this board, something you and I both know you cannot say.

Oh believe me, I most certainly do. I would be willing to bet with 100% certainty I know more of what's going on with that staff than the child that posts here.

And I'd be willing to bet with 100% certainty hat is more connected to the coaching world than you.

Hiring Bruce Pearl and ostensibly paying him more than he makes at Tennessee would officially make Iowa the most fiscally irresponsible athletic program in the NCAA.

You follow the staff on Twitter and have Selby as a friend on Facebook.

You're a real insider.

$3 million is the number being thrown around here most often. I realize that's just a number, but if this situation comes down to money (as it often does in college athletics) Iowa would almost certainly pony up a $3 million contract.

Just wondering if that would be enough to pry Pearl away from Tennessee.

You've stated my problem with this staff is that they won't "let me in the door." That's a bigger lie than saying Tuesday is the day after Thursday. Also, you believe what your pals, who have an interest in making Pearl look good, say about Arizona and Memphis. I, on the other hand, take the word of people who don't care if Bruce Pearl drops dead or wins the Powerball. I'll leave it to others to judge credibility in that scenario.

Look at what Ferentz is making. They've already locked that up.

You forgot to take into account that Iowa pays Kirk Ferentz one of the highest salaries in college football. Highly doubt they have the funding to pay two coaches that much money.

I can vouch for the credibility of this post.

They can pay that amount although I'm not sure why they would.

Basically what I've learned from this thread is that Iowa should pay 3 mil a year and snag Pearl and UT should replace him with hatvol.

If you want to make Pearl the highest paid coach in the Big 10 you can. That doesn't change the fact that Tom Izzo and Thad Matta will annually curb stomp him.
