Didn't Brad Stevens sign some ridiculous extention this summer? 10 years? Prolly a big buyout?

Coach Pearl isn't going anywhere. Everyone errs.... it's human. The man got UT to it's first Elite 8. This will soon be over with. Time to fry the real fish, Calipari. He's probably innocent thanks to prepaid cell phones and a Swiss bank account.:eek:lol: GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!

This is hard to even think about. You think a lot of coaches turned down our football job, wait and see how many laugh at whoever the new AD is if this happens.

I am personally hoping that Bruce takes his licks and shoulders on after this. I think a year postseason ban with Bruce would probably be better than starting over with whoever will have us.

I know there are a lot of people on here who thinks their are a lot of coaches better than Bruce. They may be right, they may be wrong. What I am worried about is how many would come.

I am for keeping Pearl, but if we do decide to hire a replacement I say it should be Lorenzo Romar from Washington He took a UW team in the 2002-2003 season that was 9the in the Pac-10 to 1st in the 2004-2005 season. That same year he won the Pac-10 tournament and made it to the sweet 16.

***My bad I didn't see that he had UW put on probation for 2 years so nevermind***

I just can't participate just now. I do think if the time comes we ill be able to get a good young coach. The job is beTTer now than it was 5 years ago that's for sure.

Anderson was in the running last time. If Hamilton is in charge of the next hire I can't see Anderson's name not surfacing.

I'd be totally shocked if Bruce leaves this season. Who knows what happens next season? Can the AD find anyone out there that's good for recruiting and having as good a record as Bruce has had since he came on board at UT? That would be a tough act to follow.

Read up a little bit on Mike Anderson and I like the teams he's coached and his recruiting.

Seems like a good candidate to me.

Anderson would also be a good candidate.

I have no idea if we could pull him out of Georgia, but man I would love to have Mark Fox. Georgia is going to be a good basketball program with him at the helm.

By the way, I'm not advocating Bruce's firing. If this is all that happens, then I'm good with keeping him. That's fine.

Bruce is not leaving. If he does we will not get anyone great since we will be in some bad situation if Bruce is forced to exit. So the next coach will be handicapped.

I know...i love bruce..he messed up. i think we could weather this...one year not recruting is bad but we have som good young talent...bruce pearl is a national figure and will be able to recriut when the penalty is over. if we fire bruce then NO coach worth a damn is going to leave his job to come to a team that they think the NCAA is going to thrown the hammer down on them...
