The problem with Stevens is he has it made at Butler. He's BMOC and can be as selective as he'd like.

Nope, not getting canned. Maybe Hammy not pearl. One mistake in 5 years doesnt necessarily say fire him to me. Punish yes, fire no. He's still a great coach. He's just trying to out recruit schools that pay players like KY

We don't know that it's just one mistake. In fact now we know it's been at least 2 mistakes.

True. It would be hard to lure him away from the program he has created there. His recruiting at Butler has skyrocketed and they are one of the top picks to hang a banner next year as well.

I don't think they paid any players man.. It's really nothing to me if they do or not but now we see how it is to have rumors circulating around us, so lets not try to do that to anybody else unless it's concrete information...

Wasn't my opinion man.. An analyst from ESPN was writing about it. It has been a while since that article was published I dunno if I can find it but I will if you want me to even though it isn't really relevant to our situation at hand..

I'm going to assume you mean if he's gone now or at the end of the '10-'11. If that's case here would be the five guys I'd pursue.

1. Gregg Marshall. Should have been hired when UT brought in Buzz Peterson. He's going to win huge at Wichita this season. He'd walk to Tennessee to take the job.
2. Mike Anderson. Arkansas is still paying the price for not making him the permanent replacement for Nolan Richardson. He's content at Mizzou, but paying him what Pearl's making would make him listen.
3. Frank Martin. I'm still stunned at how good a head coach he's turned out to be. UT could certainly out spend K State.
4. Chris Mooney. This assumes Richmond is as good as expected again this year. He's won at tough spots. He'd take the job in a heartbeat.
5. Rick Majerus. This is just a gut feeling. Can't believe Majerus doesn't want one more shot at a program where he can make real national noise. Any number of guys could be in this slot.

That's the thing. If Kansas State hadn't had to come right back after that epic against X, they would have eliminated Butler and everyone would have them somewhere at the back of their Top 25s.

Learn to read or review what I posted you fool. Bruce clearly is doing what it takes to win in basketball. If he's fired, Liberty's coach will be the head candidate. Stooping down to hire some mid-major guy has nothing to do with jack ****. We're hiring whichever candidate most resembles Ken Sparks of Bruce is fired. And we'll suck balls for years.

Not surprising that my comment went over some of our stupid fan's heads. They're too consumed with labeling people Pearl lovers to get their head our their asses and realize that college hoops is dirtier than politics.
