Yeah, but Asians are supposed to be smarter than people in the US. Their problem is they think like a monolithic block and don't have any creativity. That's the reason that China and Japan will never surpass us in anything. Yeah, they can figure out how to make something better than us, but if we were left alone to make something better we could in a heart beat if the bean counters in NY would get out of our way. The Chinese steal everything they have, I wouldn't be surprised if we haven't infected everything they have and once they launch a missile it makes a U-turn.

There is some truth in what you wrote but also hubris. Just because it's stolen doesn't mean it doesn't work. Selling the adversary short often leads to defeat. There was a quote by a British general from the late 30's about how short sighted the Japanese were and how their weapons were made from old pots and pans, not so long before the UK surrended much of their Asian empire to them.
I think the US would defeat China in a war over Taiwan today. But it wouldn't e a cake walk.
