First of all I never said he did enough. But I don't think he is a piece of **** or believe for one second he really knew what was going on.

Yea, I'm sure he was completely in the dark. I mean how could he be expected to know what's going when one of the coaches on his own staff comes to him and says, "Coach, I saw Sandusky raping a 10 year old in the shower." He clearly just didn't understand what that meant.
My God, you're one of the more naive people I've seen in a while.
You can preach "success with honor" for 50 years and have an impeccable career, but ignore child rape once and you throw it all away. He cared more about his program's (and therefore his own) reputation than he did a kid's. Despicable.

He is guilty for failing to do what one would expect of a decent human being. Lack of follow up from anyone involved says to me that there was no intention, on anyone's part, to hammer Sandusky and end this garbage.
You're a rational dude. But I don't agree w the lynch mob mentality on Paterno st this point.

Did you read the report? And do you think the GA asked for a sunday morning meeting at JoePa's house to say he saw Sandusky playfully wrestling in the shower with a 10 yr old? Or that he saw Paterno's friend raping a child.
Don't be naive. Paterno and the entire administration hid this because of the possible damage. Now it's worse, and more kids suffered because of it.
I heard here on ESPN that Sandusky was told not to return to the facility and with out kids as well in 2002.

I'm not for lynching him. I'm for PSU immediately ending his figurehead status.
When he says stuff like "I wish I had done more," what does that mean to you?
