Penn State scandal (merged)

JoePa wanted to coach out the season, more than just one game. They can say he should be allowed to coach one more game all they want but he still thinks he did nothing wrong.

That's the biggest thing. I'm not convinced he is truly sorry. He thinks "What did I do wrong?"

Every time a student says "Joe Pa is Penn State" they contradict themselves. That's an insult to them boh and the exact reason he should go. Apparently, Joe Paterno's indifference to child abuse sums up much of that campus' views as well. He is Penn State indeed.

Agree that he should have been fired face to face. I have the feeling this needed to be done and JoPa was not going to make it easy/drag it out all he could.

I also love that the students blame the media.

From that police scanner link:

"Well, we don't have enough people. And they AREN'T leaving."

Sorry. You lost the privilege to be fired "with dignity" when you enabled a child molestor. JMO.

Obviously PSU needs to brush up on how they teach kids about ethics.

"We need more pepper spray to College Avenue; I repeat, more pepper spray to College Avenue." Doesn't sound too good, especially this long after a dispersal order.

Requested seventeen canisters. How much pepper spray does that come out to?

An intelligent student surrounded by idiots.

Joe Pa the most powerful man on campus could have followed up, and done more. He could have done more. This is a guy that wouldn't let his bosses force him out and we are supposed to believe he was powerless? He also allowed that monster in facilities

Had to get Tom Rinaldi there. I bet there are documentaries soon and in the future where Tom Rinaldi gets tears out of everyone.
