Don't know the situation you're referencing.

Tajh Boyd, who ended up a Clemson. Fulmer had recruited him, and Kiffin said he was still welcome to come to UT, but flat out told him he wouldn't play QB if he came to Knoxville.

Guys, I'm really not trying to troll or anything. Tennessee's just who came to mind when I heard "top twelve program with the NCAA sniffing around it (for things that happened with Kiffy at the helm) that is familiar with USC." Those Newton rumors just compounded it. I could be completely wrong; it's just an educated guess.

I still wouldn't really call us a top-12 program right now.

Historically? Yes. Now? No. Cowherd didn't specify which.

I highly doubt he meant historically. Besides, Cowherd bags on Tennessee whenever he talks about us, so I doubt he would consider us a top program anyway.

Cowherd bags on every team not from LA. I cannot stand him.

We got teh LOA... we pretty much know where we stand.

This thread is horse ****,as far as it pertains to UT. I actually like Cowherd... yet that gives no credibility to his drivel.

I should add that knowing Cowherd, this could be a whole bunch of nothing.

Notre Dame , UCLA and Ole Piss could all fall in that category. Cowturd knows something , but he is never dead on. I doubt he knows the team in question yet.

Not that it matters , but this is what I posted when I heard it last week. This is why I thought at the time it might be Clemson. And if you are keeping count with Cowturd , he is usually way off on who it is. He knows of an issue and throws out some bs to look like he knows more than he does.

-I keep hearing that news is going to break on a major University very soon and it's suppose to be very bad for them. So bad they won't say who it is because getting the facts are the most important thing. It also leads me to believe that just about anyone could say that , because it's likely to happen sometime to another school anyway. Sort of like saying the sun will rise in the morning and set in the evening.-

My gut says Texas and that would coincide with Mack Brown's closing spring practice to the public for the first time in his tenure as their head coach.

I really hope it's Texas, but then again, they don't have much familiarity with 'SC outside of an NCG 5 years ago.

Who the hell is Vinci Doria?

Part time mall Santa.

I think it's a spelling error. His name is Vince. He works for ESPN. Vice President and director of news.

I'm afraid that it could be Tennessee. Definitely a top twelve program historically.
They just finished investigating UT and apparently found nothing significant regarding the football program.

And I'd hardly consider the Vols to be the program no one suspects.
Kiffin was their coach.
If it had something to do with Kiffin, USC would probably be sweating. Apparently, it's not a concern.

Rumors are swirling that tere could be evidence against them in the Newton tapes.
What evidence? The evidence the NCAA ignored when dealing with Auburn a few months ago?
It's a program that USC is "very familiar with."
Only a couple coaches at USC are very familiar with Tennessee.

I'm going with TCU as a longshot. Good ole boys tipping kids for a job well done.

From what I heard - and this is not to be taken with more than a few grains of salt but I did hear it elsewhere - is that it's unexpected and it's not in the SEC. Leaning toward Big Ten country. Michigan/Notre Dame/Penn State/Nebraska. If I had to guess, Nebraska.

I saw something about ND and a couple of players moms were only willing to sign their name with ND. Hhhhmmmmmm......that could be shocking and USC is very familiar with them. Historically a top program.
