Everything right on schedule to get his ass out of Gainesville by Monday

While we watch UT get beat by Kentucky, then Monday Currie calls a press conference to show support for the HBC.

They are trying to get rid of his 12.9 mill contract for not being honest with admin.

Bottom line ESPN TV

To be honest, Mullen scares me the most at Florida. Tebow and a bunch of Meyer Era players are likely to get way more involved and recruiting will only get better. Not a sexy pick but everyone knows his system doesn’t lack player development.

I guess it would be a good hire in terms of keeping some of the recruits on board. Not sexy. But could be long term very effective.

The potential lie is not really something they can prove...or would at least be really hard to. But if it is true, it looks TERRIBLE for them. In its essence, its a weak excuse to keep money...potentially at the expense of his family's wellbeing.

Mac’s allegations of death threats should have been brought to the attention of UF’s administration and law enforcement before the press conference.

Mac’s refusal to give specifics to law enforcement or UF’s administration following the press conference all but validates the death threats didn’t happen.

So basically a lie is reason enough to justify 'with cause'? I find it hard to believe that's all it takes.

He made a lie during a public Presser. He made such claims without notifying his employer or law enforcement. Both his employer and law enforcement learned of the “death threats” via that press conference when made them known.

Since he has now lied about something important pertaining to his standing and position at the university, he has made the university look bad. He also lied to his bosses. Those two things alone are cause to fire him.

Since he also hasn’t came out and said he lied, that means when asked about it after learning of it, he lied to admin when he met them face to face.

I guess it depends on the lie being told, and whether or not it’s the first lie he’s been caught in.

This one just so happened to take place in front of the media, and it concerned the well being and safety of student athletes on scholarship.

Excellent post...you explained it much better than I did.
