I have a feeling any coach worth his salt looks at this and says “ wow. What a dumbass. Way to give them a reason to walk you for free”. The ones seriously concerned about donkey teeth being “wronged” here probably aren’t worth a damn anyway.

I didn't indicate whether or not i believe he lied. Simply that it's a risky allegation and ugly attempt to save a few bucks. Especially when potential future coaches...and their wives...are watching.

Yeah uf may regret trying to get rid of him this way. If I remember right he was a solid hire when he was brought in and now only a few years in they try to out him that way. Certainly gonna make any coach think about taking that job cause if they struggle in the first few years they may have an ad looking to void their contract.

At least ut can say they gave butch 5 years and now that he has his team in place he’s doing horrible

I would guess if potential coaches and their wives are watching the wives would all turn to the potential coach and say “wow. MacElwein is really stupid. You wouldn’t ever do anything that dumb and get fired would you? Please just say no. “

Not trying to bust your chops but this is beyond surreal. It just makes losing to that stupid $hit twice hurt that much more. I really don’t even think Butch is that stupid. He’s a motor mouth and can’t get out of his own way. But this is just beyond surreal.

Just watch Mac’s post game press conference.

McElwain made the allegation of death threats, not UF. McElwain provided no additional details to his bosses when asked about the alleged death threats. So McElwain shot himself in the foot...it’s not a “risky allegation” to suggest he lied.

The potential coaches watching hopefully aren’t dumb enough to make up allegations of death threats in front of the media, coming off the heels of nearly a half dozen players being suspended for credit card fraud under their respective watches.

We fired a hall of fame coach one year removed from winning the division. It happens when you don't accept crappy bowl game championships in December every year.
