Yeah, I’m not buying it.I don't think many of you understand, these guys are competitors. Looking for the next NIL deal has nothing to do with the way the team performed. These guys want to win when they lace them up. Preparation and the inability to strategize to account for our weaknesses may have been more of a factor than guys checking out. What some of you are describing are effeminate personalities. It might exist more in society or that might be some of your personalities but it's not on the field generally.
60% or more of the guys entering the portal end their careers with the move. Most of the others move down. It’s not the gold mine many think it is.Looked at the portal a little while ago.
Lots of 2 and 3 stars in there, occasionally a 4 star sprinkled in.
Kinda like Bin Time for football players
They won’t magically become a 5 star somewhere else.
Sometimes the grass is greenest over the septic tank
Curious to know if you have any player names and what are your sources? Are you just repeating something you heard? If so, where?
Idk, it seems like hanging around didn't do anything for the culture or competitive spirit.Yeah heard a similar thing from the Volquest guys. Whoever it is, at least they stuck it out and played unlike the guys who quit on the team before a playoff game
It started with the OBannon brothers back in the 90’s and escalated from there through the courts. And yes it escalated with fans, media takes and players calling themselves gladiators competing for enjoyment. Fans don’t like being pointed at and yes, congress isn’t the answer.
Most remember the Arian Foster foodgate
Prove your second sentenceI don't think many of you understand, these guys are competitors. Looking for the next NIL deal has nothing to do with the way the team performed. False. Now, with NIL these guys are businessmen. Not competitors. If they are already eying money elsewhere, their heart isn’t on the field. Commitment and passion is a real thing and it either exists or doesn’t in these situations.I don't think many of you understand, these guys are competitors. Looking for the next NIL deal has nothing to do with the way the team performed. These guys want to win when they lace them up. Ohio State just administered an ass kicking last night that should motivate the squad for the 2025 season.
I hate to say it…but I think the days of this type of logic are long gone…the best of the best no longer have any shred of loyalty to their current team…the college football that most of us grew up with is overIf it doesn't, they better hit the portal...... real hard.
