Per Twitter Tee Declines

Wow, in with ignorance already. Hiring a coach and recruiting are two different things. Especially if the conversation went something like Hey Tee, going to give you 50% of what you are making now to come home. Finally realizing you are actually just another teams troll.

Says the guy with Alabama as his second team... that's rich right there. :eek:lol:

I think his wife had alot to do with it! Wants to be a singer and feels LA will help her!

Her chances of making it as a singer are about as good as Tee still making an NFL roster as a QB. He should have made the move before Lane gets canned but hey I guess everyone can dream huh.

We had our chance and DOOLEY yes DOOLEY blew it. People can't wait all their lives for something to happen. USC is obviously paying him more and he's only been there a year. Moving back across the country on such short notice after such a short stay was never a set-up that boded well for him coming back so soon.

And those of you talking smack about his parenting skills/family need to readjust your thinking. You're speaking about things of which you have no idea. Accusing a man (or a woman if the roles were reversed) who has the means and opportunity to visit his children often and who is also keeping the job he has because it pays more money (hence he has more money to support those kids) of being a bad father because things didn't work out between him and their mother and he leaves away for his job is among the meanest, most vile, personal attacks I've read here.

Would you tell a divorced father in the military that he was a bad father because he chose to go to a base where he'd receive training/opportunity for promotion over stagnating his career closer to home? What about one who is making twice as much money out of state than he would if he moved? Would you tell a mother who has to work night shifts or weekends away from home she's a bad mom? What about a married couple who are in the airline industry or long haul truck drivers who rely on their parents to watch the kids for long stretches at a time?

Personal relationships are worth more than money, just saying. I think he would have made enough here to survive bwth.

And I agree with that.

However, we don't know the relationship he has with his kids. He has the money and downtime to see them often. A lot of fathers live in the same town or heck many in the same house as their children and never see them or spend time with them. The folks tearing into him regarding his kids here are doing so without knowing a thing about their actual relationship.

I am thinking he worked the system like Charlie Strong did, to get a raise. If it's all about the money instead of loyalty that's pretty sad. USC is going to have a rough couple of years the next 2 years, playing with 65 scholarship players next year and 60 the following year. If that's what he wants to contend with, best of luck. UT will move on, if he decides to come back later maybe we'll offer him half just for pulling this stunt.

How old are you fellow poster's that are attacking the man for not taking the job? Just curious life goes on hope Tee has a successful career. No reason to attack him or his wife.

Anybody put his wife in touch with AMERICAN IDOL or THE VOICE? My wife could vote her to stardom.....

“I made a commitment to my players at USC,” Martin told Gerald Martinez of uscfootball.com.
Martin apparently didn’t make that same commitment in 2011 when he left Joker Phillips’ staff to join Lane Kiffin in Los Angeles.

I am SO DANG GLAD you posted that. Exactly what I thought when I heard the 'Committment to players" thingy.

None of you people KNOW WHAT TRANSPIRED , including me . He may have taken the time to visit Coach Jones out of courtesy to him and his alma mater ! Can you folks just not accept that and go on ? Wish him well and quit HAting on everyone that does not come to UT! Go look in the mirror and you might be looking at the reason why so many have said "no" to the VOLS ! Despite what the folks in Knoxville think, the concensus elsewhere is they got a good coach for a good program, period , end of story . So if you cannot post something positive, do not say anything at all ! This is supposed to be a VOL posting site, haters go elsewhere !

Tee would have been the silver lining to the dark cloud that has been hanging over our football program for the last few years.

Good luck to Tee in the future. Brighter days are ahead my friends.

Mama (UT) called Tee home but he decided to stay with that pencil neck D'bag out in California. I'm gritting my teeth and tring not say something against my big orange brother a man I grew up watching and looked up to. Does anybody know WHY he stayed with Tosh.0jr?

I think it's even stranger that he turned down an opportunity to live close to one of his sons. I wonder how the kid took it when dad said he's not coming home.
