If CPC leaves, it will be a pretty bad choice for him imo. He has tried the pro route before and got his **** kicked in the dirt. He has a empire built at USC and would be strange for his to leave it unless there are more underlying problems at USC with the NCAA than are on the surface at this point.

being reported as "mutual interest" and Mort says he would be surprised if they don't get Carrol...

remember, Paul Allen has some deep pockets...

I would guess that USC would go after Sark if this happens...

only way he takes it is if he thinks the ncaa hammer is coming down.

their first calls will be to jeff fisher and del rio. then probably riley at OSU, sarquisien, and kiffin/harbaugh. garrett was apparently no big fan of kiffin though.

If they Seahawks take Pete, then we almost positively lose CEO.

Why do you think that? He already turned them down before to be on Carroll's staff, and I seriously doubt that they will want him as head coach....could happen, but not likely.

i highly doubt orgeron becomes a head coach anytime soon after his tenure at ole miss. and kiffin won't be going anywhere either.

don't worry about it.

Coach O wouldn't get the head coaching gig at USC, but he they may offer him DC/Recruiting coordinator...Lane on the other hand would probably jump at the offer to be HC at USC, but they wouldn't offer him I believe.

I knew they must have had someone in-mind to fire Mora so fast...but geesh! What is Carrol thinking?

"Hey Lane, its Pete. What do you think about me coaching in Seattle?"

"Pete, I wouldn't coach the seahawks with your visor."

He turned down the request to be interviewed I heard

That's because he knows he's not getting any of these jobs, he's just being interviewed to fill the minority quota. Please, nobody take that the wrong way. I'm just saying Frasier's gotta be getting exhausted flying all over the place for jobs he knows he won't get.
I'd like to see him replace John Fox eventually, though.

I heard that the Bills were seriously considering him for the job, but then the next day Brian Billick was rumored to be assembling a staff for the job..

true. i still don't see either of them leaving though......especially kiffin because i just don't see it happening at all since they probably wouldn't contact him in the first place. orgeron could, but my gut says he stays.
