I personally think this a good fit for the 2 parties. Louisville needs a proven winner. Petrino needs a bigger job. The difference this time around is the contract will probably have more stipulations. And while Petrino has been known to move around. It usually was to upgrade jobs till he realized he hated the NFL. He then landed at a BCS school. Now that Louisville is is in the ACC ole Bobby may stick with this one since he can get into the BCS picture easier than the Big east.
I think that would be a great spot for little Jimmy as well. I sent a text to my Louisville buddy about that yesterday.
Petrino will never be welcomed back in Louisville. He left a dumpster fire on his exit.
Derek Mason is a name to watch for here.
Thing is nobody really wants Franklin --- all those jobs filled and no Franklin offers
If Franklin is that bad then why bring him up? But the real side is James Franklin is a good coach. I am a Vols fan but you have to give him his due. If he can bring Vandy to win that many games he can coach. People on here talk about him but we had one just like him (Kiffin) but Franklin is a better coach.
Kind of funny that Louisville will go out and hire a good football coach and have success but Kentucky keeps hiring these coaches that never do anything...Got to open up that pocket book to get a proven coach one of these days instead of hiring a bunch of unproven assistants.
The first time somebody waves more cash, he'll leave a post it note on his desk and sneak out the back door.
