What is it so hard for lunkheads around here to realize other universities know he was the kingpin of a gangster organization that masqueraded as a football team? He was kept in power by a good ole boy network. They want no part of a crime network setting up shop at their football facilities. That is it in a nutshell. We must have a lot of blind, or brainwashed, people around here.

I wonder what all those idiot analysts who said we were crazy or spoiled for getting rid of Fulmer have to say now.

It's awfully easy for media types and other teams' fans to wring their hands and pine about how somebody else's long-term coach got a raw deal when it's not their team out there sucking it up week after week, isn't it?

I saw him in a starbucks the other day, talking to, I would guess an agent. He did not look too happy.

This was last week, mid-week.

If things keep going the way they are, we might have a job for him at UT. We had great WRs during his tenure. He should put in for that job!

"Whaddya mean, you don't have that offer in from Notre Dame yet? What am I paying you for? You sure you've had your cell phone turned on?"

He'll end up with a job but he wasn't going to be in any of the big signing positions with the more powerhouse schools, that was already known

he'll end up at one of the smaller D1 FBS schools where they mainly need someone who can recruit better players to at least give the school some chance

I am really sick of Fulmer, but I have to think that if a program will take Rich Brooks...someone will take Fulmer. I really though the UVA job would've been perfect for him. Now that it's filled...I don't foresee any openings this offseason that he'll have a chance to get.

Are you sure it was Starbucks & not Dunkin' Donuts? I heard he applied for a quality control position with them. The guy he met with was probaly Poppin' Fresh, the Pillsbury Dough Boy! He can get a two for one dozen signing bonus if he'll take the late night shift, too.

I am thinking there is a vacancy at a certain Big 12 school that starts with a K and ends with an ansas that might just want him...... a LOT

If Kelly bolts for ND, would it be that unlikely Fulmer could land the gig in Cincy? Or would they look for another "up n' comer"?

I think the area would suit him, plus Cincy is still a team trying to get to that "next level". If they brought a person like Fulmer in, that could possibly land some bigger names than Cincy is use to in recruiting(on a regular basis), maybe he could help build something there.

I get it. Because he's fat, right?

He wants a program committed to championships. There's an opening in Richmond that fits the profile.

How ironic and funny would that be? Fulmer puts his career on the line and hires Dave Clawson as his eventual successor at Tennessee, only to fail and end up in Clawson's old office at Richmond.

Jaytrain you never dissapoint me my man. You are the best poster in the history of message boards!!!:lolabove::eek:lol::worship:

Fulmers coaching days are over unless Lane decides at some point to hang em up and head to USC to replace Pete Carroll and Hamiltopn is no longer theAD. Then possibly Tennessee allows Phil to come back for a short tenure i.e. Bill Snyder at Kansas St

He just got lazy. I also can't see him selling his home and moving to basically start over somewhere else.

Yes, Cincy is a team trying to get to the next level. They are only 12-0 , Big East Champions, # 3 in the BCS.

As much as I'm glad we've changed direction as far as Vol coaching staff, this joke got old for me years ago. To be honest, I've never seen a joke this lame recycled so much...it was barely amusing the first time, and now it's about as interesting as scraping your fingernails down a chalk board.

Please...let it go.

Teams can have that 1-2 year stretch where they do great. I'm talkin about that "next level". When your schools name is mentioned with the...Tennessee's, UF's, Texas', etc. I know you wanted to impress people with a "jab" at someone, but next time look a little more indepth at a comment. Cincy has a great chance at becoming a great consistant football team, but what happenes when savior Kelly is gone? Do they bring in someone new? or maybe go with someone thats established. Thats my question.

For it to work for Phil, they would need to have both a Krispy Kream and Lazy Boy stores around campus.

It looks like Paterno will never retire. I thought they would have run him off a few years ago but he just keeps going & going like the energizer bunny or something. I personally think he passed away a few years ago & they just keep rolling him onto the sideline each week. Have you noticed he never ages either?
