As much as I'm glad we've changed direction as far as Vol coaching staff, this joke got old for me years ago. To be honest, I've never seen a joke this lame recycled so much...it was barely amusing the first time, and now it's about as interesting as scraping your fingernails down a chalk board.
Please...let it go.
Fulmers coaching days are over unless Lane decides at some point to hang em up and head to USC to replace Pete Carroll and Hamiltopn is no longer theAD. Then possibly Tennessee allows Phil to come back for a short tenure i.e. Bill Snyder at Kansas St
Teams can have that 1-2 year stretch where they do great. I'm talkin about that "next level". When your schools name is mentioned with the...Tennessee's, UF's, Texas', etc. I know you wanted to impress people with a "jab" at someone, but next time look a little more indepth at a comment. Cincy has a great chance at becoming a great consistant football team, but what happenes when savior Kelly is gone? Do they bring in someone new? or maybe go with someone thats established. Thats my
question.
Cincy is 33-6 over the last 3 years. Big East conference champions the last 2 years.
They finished 2007 # 22 , 2008 # 12 and are currently # 3 in the BCS. They are in the upper level of college football.

If things keep going the way they are, we might have a job for him at UT. We had great WRs during his tenure. He should put in for that job!
Yep, put them in the SEC and they'd be somewhere around Ole Miss...get some love, but play inconsistently. They're having a good run, for sure. But they're not a top program by any means. If you saw that Pitt game Saturday, you know they would have lost as many as four or five games in the top conferences with that defense.
Fulmer will get a job somewhere, just like Spurrier did at South Carolina.
Spurrier was about the same age as Fulmer is when he got the USC job. If it wasnt for Lou Holtz campaigning the school to look at Spurrier he might've gone a year or two more out of college football.
Fulmer would be a great fit at Marshall. They can pass a turkey sandwich through their admissions and he can put in place a good team there.
If he doesn't land a job this year, it won't happen for him. The longer you are out, the more difficult it is to land a job. Wonder what the "staff" he indicated he was putting together will do? I don't think he would go to Marshall as he still thinks of himself as a great coach. Why would he be so brazen to contact Notre Dame if he wasn't? Although some folks say Kelly is not a lock for that job as the AD wants someone with experience and a successful record---Fulmer.
