Pig Howard tweet

If he's quitting maybe it's because he's tired of buying into the same line of bs every year. "It's going to be different! We're going to change a lot! This is the best staff in the country! We're going to compete!" Then the exact same results happen. Good luck Mr. Howard no matter the underlying meaning of the tweet!

If he's quitting it's because he's a f###ing quitter. And you're not any different if you think that is ok. If he got his feelings hurt because Coach got on him about cutting that route off and causing that interception Butch will gladly take his "resignation". No TEAM needs a player like that.:peace2:

Second that. There's never a good reason to quit. You're not only quitting on your coaches, you're quitting on your teammates, the fans, and the program.

I want to get on this board to read news, but I feel like Chicken Little! The sky is falling, the sky is falling!

You are reading the news and it is that the sky is falling :cray: (as far as UT football is concerned, and that is what this forum is about).

So the new coaching staff is supposed to come in and say something

They need to stop talking and promising and instead shut up and put together a better game plan (this is the second game in the row where they got severely out coached - and after today's game the excuse can not be that the other team had better talent).

So all speculation at this point? I'd love to hear something definitive - probably won't though.

As of now, I will not come on Volnation after a poor game. Calling Butch a glorified version of Dooley? Seriously? The guy gets it, he just doesn't have the players to execute his game plan. Y'all have seen him coach 5 games and are comparing him with Dooley...come on guys....

Guess we will see you some time next year.

It's like listening to the call-in show after a loss. Every nut with a phone seems to call in.

Areas of Improvement I have seen since Dooley's departure

1.)Recruiting
2.)Dumb Penalties (I am seeing a lot less)
3.)Defense (Tennessee had 12 INTs last year. We already have 8 now)
4.)Better running (It isn't great but it is better)
5.)Much better special teams
6.)Better team motivating gimmicks (Opportunity is NOWHERE)
7.)Better clock management

Wrong.

Special teams alone are a noticeable improvement with Jones.

It is a better coached team. The complete lack of talent is amazing.

Less penalties, creating more turnovers, hasn't had to waste timeouts because we have 13 players on the field for an extra point. I see a world of difference in CBJ team vs. Dooley's
