I think I'm going to cry. Duke deserves to lose. Pitt is not a top 20 worthy team. It'll show when Big East play starts.

Games like that get teams motivated for the season, you are crazy if you think Pitt is not top 20 worthy, and if they aren't top 20, how overrated is Duke?

Pitt just won despite being forced to play against 8 opponents. Great win. Pearl should break this tape out to show our guys the value of toughness.

I'd rather it be now to lose than later on. They need to learn how to keep onto a lead like they had, that was just pitiful.

Good call on that, Pitt is tough enough to play with just about anyone I think. Duke is going to be in trouble in physical games all year

Duke Sucks! That was a fantastic game. Pitt's coach was smart to go for the 3 and the win with Blair having fouled out. Duke would have taken them if it had gone to another overtime. Blair was an absolute beast for Pitt. I would love to see him matched up against Hansbrough. Those two guys really go after the boards. It would be a hell of a match up.

I had in my preseason ratings that Duke was 10-12. They'll improve as they mature a bit. This game was a minor setback. I'm not making excuses because they deserved to lose this game, but there's no question that they would beat Pitt in March imo.

I was wrong, Duke blew a 16 point lead. They deserved to lose, I know it's cliche, but they can bring something away from this.

tnfan you have no idea about basketball. If Pitt isn't good enough to contend in San Antonio, Duke isn't good enough to make it out of the first weekend.

A couple of observations, basically restating what I've already said:

1. Paulus is a horrible PG. He is no threat whatsoever off the dribble or with the pass

2. Duke has no one inside. They can't rebound and there's no Landlord or Brand to stuff the inside or score down low. Having Zoubek on the floor is pointless.

3. You can't live and die from outside. Tennessee is going to suffer from it and so is Duke
