This might get you guys fired up.

Do you own them, running back Fred Taylor was asked?

“You mean, like I’m your daddy?” Taylor said, laughing. “No way. I don’t feel like that about them. I’d never feel like that about them. That’s a bad question, man.”

Good answer Fred, good answer.

he apparently sent a text message to Ray Rice, back up rookie rb for the ravens, and a buddy of his, that basically said he was going to have a big game on MOnday.

it wasn't anything he said to the media or anything....just something he and a buddy were probably going back and forth about. and his buddy, decided to share it with the rest of the Ravens' defense.

i call it bad luck and poor choice of friends:p

yes, the injury was caused by a hit from Ray Lewis and Mendenhall is done for the season.

welcome to the NFL rook.

A great hit. I really do not like the Ravens, but I do love watching their defense play.

Roethlisberger seems like he gets hit a ton. Might have taken more hits this year than any QB so far.

i'm so glad they finally beat the Jags. that was HUGE win for this team. at 4-1, i'm excited, but they are so weak up front it's not funny. Need Hampton back in the middle on the line and need Parker back. there's no way you can put this team on ben's arm and a) be successfull and b) get him killed in the process.

i'm beginning to hate Bruce Ariens. However, Sunday night was the first time all season i've seen him actually make adjustments to routes and where the pocket is to protect Ben.

and enough can't be said about Ben R. what a game he had........

Awesome win........

this weekend could work out real well for us if Cleveland loses to the GIants tonight.

Yeah thought the bye week was going to get us healthy looks like Will re aggravated knee in practice yesterday. Dont get me wrong i like Moore but we all kno what happend to us last year after Rams game when Willie went down. Hopefully Casey is back though, Lamar and Harrison remind me of Greene and Greg.

Great win against the Bengals. They are just a bad, VERY bad team right now. Still good to dismantle them though. How about the play of Moore...I would say he has filled the shoes needed to be filled.

the bungles suck.

the schedule kicks up a few notches in the coming weeks...........the season will be made or broken in the next 6 weeks or so.

Yes, I agree. This week will be a tough test playing the Giants and their D. If the O line cannot hold up, then we will be screwed. Tough next three games though.

the o line is going to get a huge wake up call this weekend.......that's the match up that will win or lose the game, depending on who you're rooting for.

With everyone in the AFC down, even with an injured Willie Parker, I'd rate the Steelers as the team to beat right now.

OK, the steelers offical problems on offense, as i see them are:
1. the offensive line is not as good as it has been in the past, from a pass protection standpoint
2. Ben has shown a penhcant for holding the ball too long at times.
3. The way the offense is called, it seems like too many times the routes take too long to develop down field, where are WR screens, Tailback screens, drags and crossing routes with slot reciever or TE? Roll the pocket? something......

this team has to figure something out quickly. they won't last for long getting their qb hit like he is right now.

One guy won't make that difference, remember last year, ben getting pressure too often was an issue and faneca was there.

Good call. It certainly was the difference in the game.

The Giants defense dominated the line of scrimmage during the 4th quarter yesterday.

I question Tomlins call on putting in Harrison as the long snapper...I think that is what cost us the game. We held the Giants offense to 4 FG's. We also had plenty of time left on the clock to get the ball down and score, but Ben should was horrid in that....I blame O line.

i doubt many coaches have a truen bonafied contingency plan for injured long snapper.

So the game last night was a good win for the Steelers. I liked the way Byron came in and took over for Big Ben and led the team to a W.

we're unfortunate to have played the Colts at the time they are getting healthy and finding their legs.

they are not the team that opened the season, especially on the offensive line.

that said, when you fail to get turnovers (3 int's dropped, 1 was a sure pick 6), and you give it away twice and it leads to 14 points, you get beat.

defense played well again, just didn't make the 2 or so plays it had to it turns out.

and Ben cost us with two bad int's. word in the 'burgh is that he's still injured and he can't throw deep. if that's the case, then you have to sit him. at this point he cost us a game.

get better soon.......

all that said, wors thing that happened is we still have a 1/2 game lead on the ravens in the division.

move on to next week.

A loss by the Steelers today and they would have been in some tough treading the rest of the way. They still are, but a win should give them confidence.

our offense sucks. there's no getting around it. i thought it was all the O line. I thought it was the OC, Ben holds the ball too long, the WR's are running too long of routes......blah, blah, blah.......

they just suck. they can't pass protect to save their lives. 4 sacks in the 1st 20 minutes of hte ball game. the o line is not good. Ben does hold the ball too long. the routes do take too long to develop. they don't have good protection packages. it's all very wrong. and it's going to get our QB killed. he's already looking skittish back there. he cant' wait to throw the ball now. even if there's not pressre, he hears footsteps, and rightfully so.

the other thing about our offense........we are NOT physical. twice yesterday we couldn't gain 1 freakin yard? two weeks in a row we're stopped inside the 5?

why on earth on 4th and goal from the 2 do you NOT have Willie Parker in? you gave the ball to Kerry Davis??? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!

Penalties. i'll be a homer and say that the 1st PI penalty was BS.

but the rest.....just dumb plays by supposedly disciplined players......Hines ward accounted for 40 yards worth of penalties.......holding, blockin the back.......just dumb.

what does it all mean? a) Bruce Ariens i think sucks. b) Mike Tomlin better regain control of this and get back to physical offensive football that get a 3rd and 1 when it needs to. protect your qb, take your shots when you have the opportunity......past that, pound the crap out of your opponent and don't make dumb mistakes.

that's what we do. what i've seen this year is not Steeler football. and the most frustarting thing is that you'd think you'd seem them get better as the year goes on.......i can't say that......that offensive line looked as bad as i've ever seen them.

the next 6 games are ridiculously tough. 4-2 mark gets you to 11-5, you can maybe afford to go 12-4 with a 3-3 split over the next six. short of that you take your chances about not getting in to the playoffs.

Beat Cincy.

mission accomplished. started off pretty sluggish, but got their act together finally.

no sacks. awesome. Holmes out with a concussion and i think Parker pulled up with another hammy.....we'll see.

the next four games are BRUTAL........Dallas, NE, Baltimore, Tennessee..........don't think we can lose more than two of them and still win the division......esp the Baltimore game.......
