wow, that TD was kind of bs. i don't really think there was conclusive evidence to overturn that call. that said, pittsburgh still had a great drive in the final 3 minutes to even be near the endzone. next sunday is going to be a LONG day for my Titans.

Yeah, if you're a Steelers fan. I don't guess there's been any official announcement, but given the way that injury looked, I'll be shocked if we see Albert Haynesworth on the field again this year. Vanden Bosch will likely still be out, and the Steelers aren't coached by a complete buffoon. Frankly, the Titans haven't beaten a good team all year long. Honestly given the difficult schedule, and the devastating loss today, I'll be a little surprised if the Titans win another game this season.

The titans have lost haynesworth and vanden bosch. The center to their defensive strategy is strong D-line presence to stop the run and put alot of pressure on the qb. Without those two, their run D falls apart (see last year), they can't touch the qb, and the whole defense seems to fall apart...

Given too that Pitts still looking to find it's offensive identity, they ought to be able to stop the titan's run enough on defense to get the ball back enough times to exploit the titans injured defense.

It'll be a Pitt win and most likely clinch them homefield

well i got home in time to see the 2nd half thankfully. man, that was a hard hitting game. those two teams just do not like each other at all.

and Trent Dilfer said it best when describing the Steelers.........they are the best "have to" team in the NFL.

when they absolutely have to make a play, they make one. whether it's a WR making a clutch catch, Ben making a clutch throw or scramble, a RB getting that much needed 1st down, the defense getting that stop or creating a turnover......they've done it more times than not this season.

and think about this......these two teams have played twice this year, Steelers swept (yes!!!!!!!!) one game went to OT, the other game was decided by a call that said the nose of the football 'touched' the plane of hte end zone. these two teams are as close to one another as they can be.

as for the call.......they reviewed it and made a call.......i'm not going to apologize for it........but i can tell you this..........


if it worked for Jabar Gaffney way back in 2000, it can FINALLY work for me!!!!!!!!!!!!

in all seriousness, i hated it when we had to play in Nashville every year. i expect yet another physically demanding game. Baltimore and TN back to back on the road.

not for the thin skinned at all.

I don't see how the titans are going to move the ball against pittsburgh. Kerry is becoming kerry again and no way crush and smush do much against them. Looks like a cold game in pittsburgh if we make it that far.

i know this, the thought of having to play the ravens and/or the titans again in the playoffs sucks.

i won't be surprised if we lose this weekend....it's been two straight weeks of very tight games and 3 straight weeks of physical games......of late.....@ NE, @ Balt and now @ TN.......if you would have told me we'd be 2-1 over that stretch of road games, i'd of taken it in a heart beat.......i might have debated with you whoe the 1 would be in that, but none the less.......if we lose, we get to be the 2 seed.......

not a bad place to be in really.

Fisher knows how to play these close to the vest, field position games.(4th and 3 yesterday notwithstanding)..

It'll be a tough game alright. But this is Fisher's style of play just as much as it is Pittsburgh's... Heck, these two are one,two in a lot of stats..(saw a Graphic this morning on espn, sorry no specifics)...

Look for Vince Young to get in this game. Kerry will be benched as soon as its about 17-0 and our offense has 1 first down through the half.

As banged up as we are in the DL, i have to give the nod to them. It might look like a carbon copy of the ravens game though. Fisher might get them ready to play this week. We just looked very flat yesterday. You're right the steelers and the titans mirror each other. I don't know how beat up the steelers are, but not having KVB and Albert sucks for us.

I wished we had seen him yesterday. I think he may be what we need right now. Kerry looks out of gas.

It's not Fisher's style to throw a QB under the bus. It'd be nice to see a package for Vince though.

This Steeler D... I think you want Collins reading it. He makes just a few plays at the right moment, they could be game changers.

And don't forget that Big Ben could give us some balls as well..

I'm not throwing this one clearly in anyone's favor..

the matchup is our oline against your front 7. we've had games where i wanted everyone fired, and we had games, like NE, where they could do no wrong.....

you can get pressure on Ben, and our Running game has been anemic at best of late.

what you and any other team that plays us has to avoid is the big mistake against our defense.

they have a knack for making plays that turn games on a dime. 1 time is a fluke.

but they do it every game. If we can stop your run game and force Collins or Young to the air, it's going to be a long day for TN.

if you can run, we'll have a long day.

yep......he's not had a great year by any means.

the only stat he has going for him is the one in the w/l column.........which is fine w/me.

but he's going to have to play better.

Collins has been able to make plays through the air. Pittsburgh might be a different story. But at times he can be very accurate and reads defenses better than vince. Right now kerry is struggling and our defense is beat up. Pittsburgh is catching us at the right time.

Collins hasn't played a D as good as ours yet. you put collins in a position where he has to throw and i'll take Harrison and Woodley on the front and Polamolu and Clark on the back end all day long.

for us, we're going ot have to take advantage of the middle of that defense with a running game. cause likewise, if Ben is forced to put it up 25+ times.......uh, have you seen how many times he's been sacked this year? it's effing disgusting.
