So other countries that call everyone visiting their country from here , Americans ..are dismissing and delegitimizing valid grievances of black people ? That makes no logical sense whatsoever . They just call us what we are .. Americans

I have no idea what France and Ireland call citizens of our country has to do with anything we’re talking about. This whole argument has turned into an issue with me calling blacks citizens of our country African Americans. The fact that it bothers you this much says more about you than me.

Just curious if you're black? If so, can you provide a personal experience you can share. If not, can you provide a personal experience of privilege. Thanks.

No I'm not black, and that has no bearing on whether or not racial discrimination still occurs in America:

The only thing that bothers me is , the fact that it’s an incorrect label . If you are born in the US or become a citizen , you are an American . If a black man visits Africa and is killed by a war lord , the worlds media will report it as .. “ American Tourist shot and killed by horrible war lord while visiting Africa today “ . Just a fact .

I can only speak from my point of view, not sure about others but here is some of my experience. I’ve been harassed by the police. I’ve had the police pull guns on my friends and I when I was a kid for little to no reason. I’ve been physically abused by the police. I’ve had store owners follow me around their store (backwards cap and baggy pants). I’ve had people see me walk by their car and lock their door as I approached. I’m going to have those same conversations with my son about what to do if you get pulled over. Don’t make any sudden moves, hands on the wheel, ask for permission to get anything, don’t speak unless spoken to. I had to work hard to make grades to keep a high gpa and gain acceptance with scholarships into college with little to no help academically. I’ve had to compete for my educational opportunities and jobs and have been rejected many times. I’m not privileged. If white privilege does exist, I haven’t been a benefactor of it. I can’t speak for all white people, just me. To acknowledge and apologize for something that I can’t relate to doesn’t make sense to me and quite frankly seems a little insulting to black people.

All that being said, I still fully support people speaking out on matters that bother them. We can have open conversations. Some people need a little direction, some people just want to be heard.

My LEO encounters have been relatively few, they've been overwhelmingly authoritative but professional. A game warden reached out and started patting my fishing pack once, I stepped back and told him he did not have permission or cause to search me. Another gave me a real hard time once over an expired license and inspection sticker, I replied I'd rather just be ticketed than lectured, which he was doing anyway. Another warden had me pour out (sob!) some nice IPAs while camped in a non-beer area; regs had changed due to "some trouble" and I was not spared a ticket. My bad.

If pulled, roll down windows, turn on interior light, have wallet on the dash, and hands on the wheel. Respond courteously and you can expect the same. The a-wipes really are few in number.

I respect disagreement, even damned vigorous disagreement. I don't respect people who can't let it be nothing more than that. Unless they're commies, which I can't respect at all.

Wow, now there's a jump. Acknowledging that racial discrimination exists means someone is a Marxist? You really believe that?

Maybe I haven't read all of your replies but the approach that is being used in the streets and the mainstream media is Marxism.

Btw, I agree that discrimination still exists. So there are still some problems, but it's the approach to solutions where there is a difference. I can get deep into this which I tend to want to refrain from doing.

The issues are generally jumbled together like a pot of stew. One minute its police bruality, the next minute it's systemic racism, then etc.

How does donating millions of dollars to blm help the black community? Where does the money go? How much will administrators get in salary?

Is it going to school systems? Will it go to help repair broken homes? The lack of education leads to the lack of hope. Areas with broken homes tend to have the most crime. Who will help with safety in crime riduled areas? After all, the race baiters want to defund the police. Or does America always need victims for certain elements of the political structure?

Choose almost any big city in America. Right down the characteristics of their leaders over the last few decades. Then circle what they have in common.

Also, where is within the corporate structure addressed? It's not unless throwing millions to a marxist org like blm is the way it gets addressed.

To be clear, I like the idea of donating money to organizations that have a long history of legimate causes where you know where the funds are going. These popup overnight sensations that are legitimized by race baiters generally has political agenda hands all over it somewhere.

Kansas State launches diversity programs after football Boycott

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas State is launching a diversity and education fund amid several other initiatives to address racial injustice after football players threatened a boycott in response to an insensitive tweet by a student about the death of George Floyd.

The fund will allow boosters to funnel money directly to initiatives within the athletic department that "actively seek inclusive and diverse community through educational programming and support of all student-athletes, coaches and staff."

The school also said Wednesday that student-athletes, coaches and staff would undergo mandatory diversity and inclusion training that includes monthly town hall sessions; redoubling efforts to recruit applicants from diverse backgrounds for staff and coaching positions; utilize home games to support the Black Lives Matter movement; highlight Black History Month; and provide transportation to student-athletes to voting locations on Election Day.

A state university using home games to support a political activist group ? Wow what happens if that same movement kills a bunch of people say in Texas . I think it’s a terrible idea .

Shew.... good. I was stressing about what football would look like without Kansas State.

Supporting a marxist organization. Terrible leadership of young men by a university.
