Players Speaking Up

Maybe I haven't read all of your replies but the approach that is being used in the streets and the mainstream media is Marxism.

Btw, I agree that discrimination still exists. So there are still some problems, but it's the approach to solutions where there is a difference. I can get deep into this which I tend to want to refrain from doing.

The issues are generally jumbled together like a pot of stew. One minute its police bruality, the next minute it's systemic racism, then etc.

How does donating millions of dollars to blm help the black community? Where does the money go? How much will administrators get in salary?

Is it going to school systems? Will it go to help repair broken homes? The lack of education leads to the lack of hope. Areas with broken homes tend to have the most crime. Who will help with safety in crime riduled areas? After all, the race baiters want to defund the police. Or does America always need victims for certain elements of the political structure?

Choose almost any big city in America. Right down the characteristics of their leaders over the last few decades. Then circle what they have in common.

Also, where is within the corporate structure addressed? It's not unless throwing millions to a marxist org like blm is the way it gets addressed.

To be clear, I like the idea of donating money to organizations that have a long history of legimate causes where you know where the funds are going. These popup overnight sensations that are legitimized by race baiters generally has political agenda hands all over it somewhere.

Christ on a pogostick...you are all over the place.

A state university using home games to support a political activist group ? Wow what happens if that same movement kills a bunch of people say in Texas . I think it’s a terrible idea .

It’s complete and utter ridiculousness and hypocrisy....this movement has already killed in the “name” of black lives matter, however, they’re absent from the real killing fields of Chicago and the inner city cesspools of murder, violence, crime, etc., that really hold back a lot of black kids/people...

Coaches, AD’s, Universities now have to stand up for BLM...or you are against black lives...as Josh Palmer so “eloquently” implied to ALL of VN.

Kids, now with a platform, are dictating to fans to get on board or **** off! It’s a trend that needs to stop now!

You might want to, you know, actually read what Palmer wrote before you choke on your own knee cap.

I'm just double checking, but you do know that The Babylon Bee is satire, right?

"I was shocked," said Mike "CrazyEyes" McCluckerson, the homeless Marine Corps vet after LeBron's helpful exhortation. "I was raised by a family of possums under an abandoned bridge, but I had no idea how many advantages my whiteness had given me in life."

Dunno...that sounds so life-imitating-life...

Kansas State launches diversity programs after football Boycott

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas State is launching a diversity and education fund amid several other initiatives to address racial injustice after football players threatened a boycott in response to an insensitive tweet by a student about the death of George Floyd.

The fund will allow boosters to funnel money directly to initiatives within the athletic department that "actively seek inclusive and diverse community through educational programming and support of all student-athletes, coaches and staff."

The school also said Wednesday that student-athletes, coaches and staff would undergo mandatory diversity and inclusion training that includes monthly town hall sessions; redoubling efforts to recruit applicants from diverse backgrounds for staff and coaching positions; utilize home games to support the Black Lives Matter movement; highlight Black History Month; and provide transportation to student-athletes to voting locations on Election Day.

Whew! - problem solved...YAY!!

Just need to judiciously draw and quarter the offending student.

I read exactly what he said...then crawfished on, to a degree...

The implication is still the same.

Josh Palmer or any other black player...is a football player for the University of Tennessee in my eyes. I don’t care what color he is ON or OFF the field...he represents my university...

99% of fans don’t see black and white...just orange and white. I don’t GAF what his background or lineage is....he has the exact same avenues to be successful as any other football player at UT...

Using force or leverage...to preach to our faithful fans about a politicized rebellion, is ******** and most logical people see that...

Politics don’t belong in sports

Interesting. But you do support politics being injected when it involves the national anthem...

This is the problem with this country. Too many liberals and democrats who won't do a damn thing about anything expect point fingers at the republicans. Same with the people who are saying, "Everything is racist." It's not the police officers or the government's fault that black people keep breaking the law. If you break the law under any circumstance, you pay the price. I don't care if you're White, Black, Hispanic, Korean, Chinese, or whatever, we all live and obey by the rules in this country together. D4H don't give me that "racist" BS cause everything you're saying right now, is just STUPID. Kaepernick is a disrespectful young man who wants to blame everything on the white people so he decides to not stand up for our National Anthem. It's "racist" to him! That actually defends me and 95% of Americans but that doesn't matter right considering we're just white people? "BLACK LIVES MATTER!" Do us all a favor and stop embarrassing yourself.

You sure you actually read it?

Because you seem to be completely disregarding what he actually said.

I aspire to be as intelligent as a man who believes other white people are holding you down. Now, we are giving reparations to people who feel they have been discriminated against? You are an intellectual warrior 😂 You are without a doubt the most racist and perpetually offended person I have ever met.
I can guarantee you ain't no white person holding me down. I am doing quite well. But as a person of color, I know that if other people of color are being brutalized and indiscriminately harassed, I have a problem with it. I stand with those people. What affects one of us, affects all of us.
Coming from you, I wear the racists label as a badge of honor. Those poor kids you "mentored"....i feel sorry for them.

This thread reminds me of Chris Weatherd in 2016 saying his car was vandalized by Trump supporters after the election, in cursive, using that paint meant for car windows..on his car windows..

That’s his crawfish...

This is what he said...

Tennessee WR Josh Palmer: “At this point, any fans out there, if you guys don’t support us as human beings, don’t come to the games. Because I’d rather have nobody in the stands then a bunch of fakes who pretend to like us because we entertain them” Trey Smith: I 2nd that, 100%

Sounds like a dumb kid riding a wave...

Where was this before now?

There is going to be a lot of confusion between the term and the organization, as obfuscation is its purpose.

One student makes a stupid post and now everyone who attends a game gets talked down to as racists themselves, awesome

Damage control for what? You want to point out where me mentions, or even alludes to the BLM organization/movement in the original quote?

Then tell me why the "clarification" tweet the next day. (By the way, I never said anything about BLM, nor implied that he did.)

Because people like yourself and Pacer92 seem to erroneously equate "if you guys don’t support us as human beings, don’t come to the games" to "if you guys aren't marching in a BLM protest, don't come to the games"?

Racism has now been deemed the worst sin possible per the righteous and each “offender” must be driven from the Earth because they are clearly a worse threat than rapists, murderers, terrorists, etc. There is also this pretend belief that racists are supported if you don’t make this huge spectacle condemning them. I always assumed it was understood that most civilized people condemned hatred of others simply due to their race but I guess I need to wear a t-shirt, Tweet about it, and riot in order to verify my support. Otherwise, I am a card carrying member of the Klan. Amirite?
