Please don’t overlook Vandy

No one is overlooking them we know how big it is
I hope you are right. I would sure love to see us come out on the field fired up and ready to play. Something happened at Arky. And it is a road game, howbeit we will probably have more fans there than Vandy does. If we don't overlook them we win. But in college football today, nothing surprises me. Who would have thought Ok would have beat Bama, and actually beat them very bad.

Correct, Tennessee will not be in the SEC Championship game. It will be the winner of the Texas vs. Texas A&M game vs. Georgia. The NCAA already declared on X that Georgia has clinched. And the Dawg fans are not happy about it. There is nothing good that comes from playing in the game for Georgia. Their players can get hurt and more importantly, if they lose they most likely get knocked out of the playoff. The SEC has a major problem on their hands now with the Conference Championship colliding head on with the playoffs. It'll be interesting to see what evolves from this problem.

Just think about what a win against us Saturday would mean for Vandy. They would probably treasure it more than the win against Bama. It might become their biggest win ever in their minds. They have nothing to lose and a legend to gain.
Prepare accordingly. Play clean. Play disciplined, and come out from the first snap with focus and intention. Crush their hopes completely and do it right out of the gate
And please come out fired up and ready to play. I would like to see more passion starting from the entrance into the stadium.

Do you really think Tennessee is going to overlook Vandy? Not only is Tennessee playing for a playoff spot, but they’re also well aware that Vandy beat Bama and took Texas to the wire. There’s no chance Tennessee overlooks Vandy. If they lose, it’ll simply be because they didn’t play well.

We will if we don't overlook them. I am very concerned about this game.
We should be. Vandy is a tough out. We (fans) can overlook them all we want. We need our team not to. I think they will be totally focused, but that also doesn’t necessarily mean we come out with guns blazing as we’ve seen a lot this season. We really need a fast start on these guys.

The “fiddy” is meant to express the Vols will beat a team by a gaudy margin. Similar to “boat race” which is also used frequently here. Vandy isn’t UTC, Kent State or UTEP. In fact, they are probably as good or better than Arkansas and we all know how that trip went.
So we are going to boat race them by fiddy???

Vols open as 11.5-point favorites against Vanderbilt @ DraftKings, over/under 47.5.
Seven times this year, a ranked SEC team has lost on the road to one that is unranked. Forget the spread. Forget the playoffs. Heup needs to get them focused and just win the football game. The VU hatred of us runs very deep. They can play and have beaten good teams. It's going to be nasty and Vols have to be the aggressor. I'm concerned and truly hope they practice with purpose this week. We have to play our best game of year.

Please don’t overlook Vandy
We have received a gift or 2 tonight. Do not think this is the normal Vandy team.
100 percent correct.

Botch Jones had to beat Vandy and we were off to the Sugar Bowl....They beat our ass and we got the pleasure of the Music City Bowl....Vandy would like nothing else but to keep us from the playoffs.

Just rewatched highlights from the 2022 South Carolina game to keep me grounded
Vandy's too cheap to buy signals....and why the heck would anyone ever rewatch those reruns?

I didn't read all the comments, but there is literally a 0% chance the Vols overlook Vandy, literally 0%. If Tennessee loses it's because we didn't play well and/or got outplayed and out coached. This is just silly and a dumb take. Tennessee will be ready and will win by 10+. I haven't looked at the line but I'm guessing it's over 10.

Nashville isn’t a typical road game for us. And it’s wild how done still harken back to the Arky kiss like we are the same team. We aren’t. We are better. Stop worrying. Vols win.
