Politics in Europe

Just accept that Europeans always find an excuse to wage another cut-throat war. It's their pastime sport to slaughter one another, and when practical, beg the USA to rescue them.
Let's compare how many wars the US and the major European countries have been involved in since the end of WWII.

Doubt you can unless you're really up-to-date. See, the USA is a loudmouth, braggart about its activities. The Europeans are quieter. If you look at the post WWII actions in mainly Africa and Asia, you may find they've been rather active. But our media, and their's, don't say much about it. And it isn't just Britain and France. The Dutch are quietest of all, except for South African oppression and resources raping. However, you're off track. My post was about Europe's history of waging war on each other. They always find an excuse to do so.

They've been pretty well behaved in that regard since 1945 though.

Disagree. They have been quiet about what they're doing. Only now, some African nations are openly telling them to get the hell out and stay out. France threatened to send in their military to maintain the status quo of their continued raping the resources. But some guy, can't recall his name, told them this time they'd meet a united front and it would cost them. About time those people stood up to Westerners who remain there and backed by their military. Get out. I do think they are just trading one demon for another by inviting the Ruskies and the Chi-Chis there. But the Europeans have not been behaving just smarter going about their invasion more quietly. AND AGAIN, my original post was about the mess in Europe now, for the USA to ignore it. Because the Eros always find an excuse to cut each other's throats, then yell for our help in getting out of yet another of their wars. That's what the current mess will lead to once again.

Keep in mind the great peace of the 1800s that was so boasted about ended with WW1 and WW2.

Then again, other parts of the world are just as violent (Middle East for example). Humans are humans and we will fight wars. You can't point out a specific region. Europe just gets a lot of attention because it housed 90% to 100% (depending on era) of the world powers from 1500-1950. So when they fought, it was (to quote Trump) HUGE.

People care less about wars like Paraguay fighting Argentina or Brazil (it happened) because the size and scale of the war is smaller.

There are several active wars around the globe right now including Azerbaijan fighting Armenia, Venezuela invading Guyana, border fights between China and India, etc. However, Ukraine-Russia and Palestine-Israel get all the attention.

I was replying to the bolded part of your previous post. Now you're back out of Europe and into Africa.
Either way, we've been at war more often since WWII than the Europeans. Yes they still play their colonialistic games, a lot more than what our media reports.

and just a reminder for everyone, what counts as "far right" in Europe means left of center in the US.

Pretty similar to the US, but there are only a few big items that separate the groups. Right now immigration is the number one thing over there, and then maybe pushing back some on the EU. they will still stay incredibly socialist free health care and education, taxes stay high, the government involved in every factor of your life. they will stay globalist but will just redefine how they partake in that global community.
I can’t fathom this. This is just so effing wild to me.
France, a sovereign nation, having their budget cut by another….

“The RN has made lavish spending pledges – from rolling back Macron’s pension reforms to cutting taxes on fuel, gas and electricity – at a time when France’s budget might be brutally slashed by Brussels.”

Could imagine reading a sentence that said - “The United States is worried that Canada might cut their budget”. Bizarre.

like I said, their "far" right isn't very far, and isn't very right.

I guess the Brussels mentioned is the EU since that's their seat. But it's still like Tennessee having their budget cut by DC.

Yes, “Brussels” is a stand in for the EU. I highlighted EU in the post I quoted, but didn’t make it clear in my reply.

It would be like the United States having its budget cut by NAFTA bureaucrats in Toronto or something.

I think you're Chubby Checkering our exchange. Your reply was open ended given your quote of my post.
