It’s not a general Christmas greeting I’d expect from a good Christian.

As has been pointed out by others, there are no "good Christians" and "bad Christians." There are only Christians. Some Christians are more faithful and devoted than others and some Christians may commit more grievous sins, but all true Christians confess their sins, ask forgiveness, and repent. At least, that's what the Bible says. Those who truly are forgiven love God and demonstrate that to themselves by following God's commands and demonstrate it to others by loving their brethren and neighbors. That's the assurance of salvation promised to believers.

I did not vote. There is no "good" or "bad" Christian. One is is or isn't. I do not know DJT's religious beliefs, and I am not the one to make the judgement..

Mostly agree, yet the Bible does tell us that we "will know them by their fruits" (also evidence to believers of their own salvation). Trump gives scant evidence of those fruits.

Compassion? Charity? Modesty? Humble spirit? Kindness? Moderation? Faithfulness? Worship? Repentance? Growth in knowledge of the Word? Not neglecting the fellowship of the saints? Not engaging in vulgar, idle words but reflecting upon what is good and pure? Sharing the gospel?

I'm sure that there are some individual examples of some of these over a lifetime, but not seeing a pattern that indicates any regular or increasing adherence to any of these or other Christian virtues from Mr. Trump.

Judge not lest ye be judged. Mathew Chapter 7, verses 1-5.

One of the most frequently-misunderstood and misused quotes from the entire Bible (there are many).

The entire passage needs to be quoted. Don't stop with the beginning.

The context is hypocrisy; in fact, the word hypocrite is used. The intent is to warn people about judging others when the accusers commit the same (or worse) sins. It's saying to clean up your own mess first...how can you help your neighbor to remove the speck from his eye when you have a log in your own (figurative speaking)? It doesn't say not to judge others but to judge yourself first (and repent by removing the metaphorical "log") and then to help your neighbor deal with his sins. Otherwise, you're like a morbidly obese person telling a slightly overweight person that they need to lose pounds. Hypocritical and totally unconvincing to the intended recipient of the help.

The passage does not say not to judge...just the opposite. It commands believers to judge with righteous judgment. People doing the judging will be judged by the same standards they use for others, so it is a warning to make sure your own house is in order first before judging.

Also noticed that the intent of the "judging" is to help others to turn away from their own sins. It's not to be done for the purpose of demeaning, humiliating, insulting, persecuting, etc. And by dealing first with your own sins through confession and repentance (and giving the glory to God and the Holy Spirit), you will be able to say, "I've been there. We're all sinners. We all need God's grace. Here's what we do according to the Word to make things right...and it works!"

Also note that in the same passage in Matthew 7 (around verse 6, I believe), Jesus addresses those who reject biblical teachings as "dogs" and "pigs" and commands his followers not to give the precious and holy things of God to such people. Sounds pretty judgey, doesn't it?

In a nutshell' the passage says not to be a hypocrite when judging others. Clean up your own life and then help others who want to clean up theirs. As for those who don't want to clean up their lives, dust your sandals off and move on.

He’s just parroting the narrative that Trump only has failed businesses. They gloss over the fact that he has numerous prosperous businesses.
Not parroting anything. Yes, he's had prosperous business.....real estate he purchased. He hasn't started one business and grown it. He's not considered astute by any acceptable standard. He's never managed a multi-level organization. No Fortune 500 company would hire him as as a COO . Only way he's ever been a CEO at ANY business is by buying it. Every single business he has started hss went bankrupt

Could you list some prominent examples to demonstrate noted successes in those areas?

Nah, if you can't list at least one known lasting accomplishment off the top of your head, not worth the time to check out their site...although I'm certain anything touted there would be totally unbiased, as all organizations' personal websites tend to be.

My own stated mission is to end all hunger, poverty, and violence worldwide. I've only had limited success to date, but if you'd like to contribute to the cause, I can provide the GoFundMe page. $50 minimum donation

Being too lazy to google something isn't a good look, if you were really interested, you'd have spent a second. Instead, you made an assumption and now look silly.

Tell me, where would my $50 be spent on your mission to end hunger and violence - or would my $50 be the first step in ending your poverty? Are you a registered 501c3?

I said the same thing in my post yesterday (8:19 AM) though more concisely. 😁

As a Christian, how are you OK with one of your homeboys telling Americans to rot in hell?

How morally low does donny have to stoop before even the Sunday morning "christians" are no longer willing to defend him?
Drinking. If he is caught drinking all bets are off. All else is cool, although smoking needs to be done shamefully in private.

"Younger days"??????

Hahahahahahahahahahaha

Haha ha

Oh wait. You're serious.

The guy didn't drink too much in his 20s, a la Bush, or smoke pot in college, a la Obama.

AS AN ADULT he had an affair with a porn star as his wife dealt with pregnancy. He was in his late 50s.

The guy is an entitled cad, with no moral compass whatsoever.
That was so long ago it feels like he was in his 20s.

It's supposed to be a "gotcha" question from those aligning with heathens/liberals (oxymoron).

You're right, though. We're not electing a pope. Kennedy's blatant misogyny doesn't to matter to the legions of acolytes who worship him to this day. Nobody really cared about Eisenhower's as or Patton's religious bonafides. They just wanted the Axis powers defeated.

As the old saying goes, "You don't hire a choirboy to beat back the barbarians."

(That said, I didn't trust Trump in 2016 precisely because I didn't trust him to deliver due to his character).

Well, of course. If the people asking this question, who generally antagonistic to Christ and Christianity, thought that Trump's actions as President led the country and its people AWAY from Christianity and its moral principles, they would be all for him. Even better to them are those who cloak themselves in the clothing of "being Christian" but actively governing against Him.

Look silly? Too lazy? Amusing take.

My response is to echo what I said earlier and paraphrase you. It "isn't a good look" when you can't answer a simple question about concrete, tangible actions the organization has taken to accomplish their "mission" but instead have to resort to copying and pasting bullet points from their self-promoting website.

The vaguespeak you cited from the site is familiar to anyone who has ever been tasked to create "mission statements" consisting of lofty-sounding but hollow words that are meaningless in substance. There's a lot about "aiming to provide opportunities to advocate..." (yada yada) without explaining the actual mechanics of what they do. "Aiming" to do something isn't actually doing something.

Quoting from the points you copied in lieu of actually having that knowledge yourself, they cite things to which they "object" and assure the reader that they are taking "many steps" to "address" these issues. Uh, okay, guess we'll have to take their Satanic Majesty's word on that since they were too "lazy" to actually describe what they're doing. Old man yelling at cloud?

Amidst all the talk about "protecting" and "supporting" and "advocating," it sounds as though the only tangible things they profess to accomplish are promoting occasional drives to collect food, tampons, and toothbrushes and to offer after-school "clubs" in which they promote "self-directed education by supporting the intellectual and creative interests of students" (a fancy way of saying they offer a room in which students hang out for a while). Oh, and they offer a "Satanic" approach to sobriety for substance abusers wanting to get clean. Well, thanks for clearly stating the workings of that program.

Surely you are too intelligent to take any of this seriously.

At any rate, thanks for proving the point that these grumpy folks don't make enough positive impact upon society that would enable you to actually know what they claim to do without having to resort to Googling. Pretty sorry endorsement for those representing such a powerful entity, wouldn't you say?

Who knew that Ol' Scratch was such a humble feller?

As for supporting my mission, you will definitely help to alleviate my hunger and poverty and reduce the possibility of violent outbursts telling young rascals to get off my lawn by promoting good mental health. My group aims to provide opportunities for well-meaning folks to advocate for my comfort and peace of mind by sharing the bounty to which they have obtained and in doing so to bestow warm, fuzzy feelings to the giver. It's a win-win for everyone! And it's a 903mpty, which means that I pay my fair share of taxes and, no, you can't write off your donation. However, I assure you that 100% of your gift will be applied toward my comfort.
