1. This team plays better in the 2nd half. Maybe the football team needs to sit in on Cuonzo's halftime speech.
2. Players are developing before our very eyes!
3. Trae Golden is an ALL-SEC player. 11 Assists? Are you kidding me? After posting 9 assists the game before?

4. Maymon had another double-double.
5. The team was tied at halftime with an inferior opponent and stormed back to annihilate them......

Agree on all counts. Will also add, we punished them on the boards (nearly twice as many), which led to limited chances defensively and increased opportunities for us offensively.

We only turned the ball over 11 times, and once in the 2nd half.

If Dwight Miller can give us that every game, he will serve his purpose.

Now the bad:

We had no business letting that team hang around that long. The good news is we made corrections as you mentioned.

We shot 29 3's, which is too many. We have to develop some consistency inside offensively (eh em...Kenny Hall) to get some easy baskets. I just have a hard time believing we will hit an average of 13 3's a game over the course of the season. Perhaps that is my skepticism based on last years shooting woes.

Our first half defense was awful. Once again we allowed an inferior opponent to shoot over 40%, and we only forced 11TO's. We need to improve our overall defense throughout the game and become consistent defensively. If we allow Duke to shoot 43% and only force 11 TO's, we may not have enough firepower to keep it close.

Trae Golden is a God-send. That is all.

Pooch, Sounded from radio broadcast that Hall was very weak with the ball. Did he look as bad as it sounded?

We'll have a good opportunity to really evaluate this team when they play Duke on the 21st. It's an early game (5:30p) at home.

I will admit we are better than I thought coming in but other than the sec tourney, I don't see us making a post season trip this year.
