Jared Dickey’s Farewell post on his IG was gone for a few hours now it’s back up. I think he takes the overslot bonus when he’s drafted and leaves tbh

This is "sport" for me. A distraction. I love the Vols but none of this is life or death. If I ever really start truly hating any of these guys... it will be time to find a new distraction.

Real life has more than enough difficulty. We just learned a couple of weeks ago that my wife's cancer has returned and spread. We're going for a 2nd opinion this Friday but the first one wasn't the kind of "option" you ever want to hear.

Sorry if anyone here takes it too personal but it has been good for me to butt heads with people here when no real harm can be done.

Dickey has the drive and fortitude to be a big league guy in the not-too-distant future. He’s been so much fun to watch, and he will be a Royal pain to pitchers in the years ahead. Congrats.

Galanie was drafted 389 (13th round) by the Chicago White Sox

It’s going to be funny when we spent basically 75 pages arguing about the evils of the transfer portal and how they are taking spots away from hard working high school players, and TV is terrible. Only for things to end up where 7 of the 9 position players here next year will be returning players or incoming high school recruits lol.

With Galanie gone, it’s basically just Peebles and Amick as everyday guys. The rest will be returners.

Truly sorry for your bad news. I lost my wife of 43 years to cancer 3 years ago. Your time with your wife is precious.

Pitching staff is getting hit by the draft too. But, UT has some great pitching talent waiting in the wings that didn’t see much action this year, as well as some talented newcomers in the 2023 class.

Agreed. My first assumption was a Mississippi school, but you obviously have to fear LSU. Wonder if Tony can get him on campus for a visit at the least.

Possibly. But it seems this has been in the works behind the scenes for awhile. MSU fans seem to believer this is just a step in the process of him committing to State. So, he might already have his mind made up.

I would not count out Vandy. His final 3 when he was a HS kid were Stanford, Vandy and MSU. Some believe it was down to Vandy and Stanford but Vandy did not have any OF spots at that time. Sounds eerily familiar to the RJ Schrek sutuation last year.
