You are assuming they were completely caught off guard and that it wasnt a possible outcome? I only have 1 experience with a situation like this with CN and the player knew he might not make the team and took a shot. Im not the sharpest tool in the shed, but Im struggling to see what we are arguing for here

Look preach ask the questions and he got the Answers he wasn’t expecting but heck we know he doesn’t even acknowledge kids like these since they didn’t make the 40man

no I assume they knew they were fighting for one of the walk on spots. I assume they knew they might be cut. I wish the ncaa protected them by allowing them to leave at Christmas and play but they don’t

Dude you said Fall, it’s clearly not Fall. This is SEC baseball those kids chose it, they had other options I’m quite sure. You brought up 3 kids out of , what 43…they know the deal. At least they can leave if they choose and I hope they have success where ever they decide to go.

This ain’t tiddlywinks good grief.

look those 3 were cut either at the end of the fall or as late as the day before the first game


The one kid that went to Walters and played was obviously cut after fall workouts


But we know all 3 were cut before the season

So yer suggesting that every commit automatically gets a spot on the 40 man roster, those two got a look, literally in the fall ball game? They may have had to suffer thru a freshman season watching the games from the stands and driving to the away games like I did my freshman year of college, big whoop.

I understand that ... but they DID NOT leave. You do understand that, right? They entered the portal in the summer...NOT last fall!
I have never used the ignore button ... because I think everybody should be heard. But the tenor of your comments is very difficult to take.

I didn’t say what happened to them was some kind of a bad thing

another poster said he expected guys to leave after next fall….
preach said that wouldn’t happened which is plain dumb

I then named these kids like he asked….

I don’t have a problem with how they were treated. I assume they knew that might not make the roster

Depends when they were told

By rule tv doesn’t have to announce
His 40man until the day before the first game.

But even if they were told at the end of November they might still choose to stay since the NCAA doesn’t allow mid year transfers. NAIA or juco is the only Option and that’s a shame

By rule they can still work with the strength and conditioning staff and access facilities they just can’t travel or practice with the team

If yer argument is for more transfer windows just say so. But nobody here can change that.

I ain’t bailing, but I gotta go. I guess my issue is this use of the word cut. It implies they were treated differently than everyone else, which I don’t think is the case, but I have no way to know if that’s true or not. Have a nice evening.

There is no denying they were cut from the 40 man roster

we don’t know exactly when or why but they were cut.

the truth is those 2 were apart of the 2022 class BUT not on the 40man roster this year. That means they can’t legally practice once the first game is played….. they were cut..

Kendro will have first shot. Great glove. I’d personally be elated for great D and .250 at SS with our plethora of bats.

(Zellem and Ebbing) were redshirted so could practice with the team and Ryan Miller was on the roster. What 3 were you referring to?
