It didn’t improve. I think it was hurt
Disagree. It did something for him. He looked elite on big stages where he was getting shelled before. Honestly the guys performance would have to completely tank for it to hurt his stock. The scout don't care about his ERA they're looking at his velo and movement and how it projects.
It may have made him better but you guys are missing the point
if that draft room Doesn’t see him as a 1-2 starter in a major league rotation he ain’t going in the top 5
keep in mind a kyle Wright went 5th overall with that projection
Closer type guys got no shot at that placement in the draft
starters go the pen alot in baseball. Even to the minors when your stuff suffers etc. It did not hurt his stock. He refound what was missing over the stretch from the pen. His draft stock was not and will not be effected due to the happenings this yr. If there is a hard on by him for this move then that will effect his stock more.It may have made him better but you guys are missing the point

agree to disagree is fine. He is not going to be looked at a reliever. He served his purpose for this team and his performance reflected it and he got better than what he was in the rotation. His fastball is very good but if the slider (only other pitch that he was throwing enough of) is not working as it was not, he continued to get behind hitters and they sat dead red. Dead red fastballs to better hitters in the sec or any other conference get hit hard and far. See Dollander case in point also.Maybe it’s more fair to say this end of the year “helped his big league longevity” but “hurt his draft bonus”
Next year is going to determine that. If he can consistently throw a third pitch, he will be a very high pick regardless of this year. If ge doesn’t develop that, then he’s going to be seen more as a reliever.Maybe it’s more fair to say this end of the year “helped his big league longevity” but “hurt his draft bonus”
