I tend to take the more palatable although somewhat naive stance that we're trading a guy who wants out for a guy who wants in and that it has nothing to do with money.

Thats a very naive stance, but even if you take the $ out of it youre just creating a bunch of mercenaries jumping around. Theres no connection to the team or the kids anymore like there was with the 22 team, or the basketball team we loved with Grant and company.

SS is gonna be super interesting. There’s legitimately 6+ options (don’t think Jaslove will ultimately be a factor but never say never). I have to imagine whoever ends up being there is going to be pretty damn good

Nate Snead throws 100mph. We will see if Joyce sticks around but him too. AJ Russell might approach it after another offseason. They have some big arms coming in as freshmen too, and also watch out for guys who redshirted/played super sparingly like Hunter Sloop and JJ Garcia. Garcia is tearing up his summer hall league and Sloop is a 6’8 kid who was already touching high 90s in highschool

No idea why he was released. Could have been on a temp contract, maybe needed a break. I don’t know. Other guys in the portal are playing and getting scouted.
