Moe/Thompson
Farooq
Suggs
Thompson Jr.
RB
Our portal haul.
Hope we take both Moe and Thompson even if Karic comes back.
Farooq as our WR just makes too much sense.
Don’t see Suggs or Thompson Jr getting better offers than us, unless we straight told them “nah, we’re good”
Grabbing a SR like him for the 4th option WR wouldn’t cause anyone to leave.I like Farooq. I would definitely take him. But history seems to suggest we'll target someone with more eligibility remaining.

He would have one year and be gone. Matthews, Staley, and the freshman group probably wouldn’t be mad.
At WR, it’s not about getting someone with multiple years, it’s about getting someone that can help for a year and be depth in case someone gets hurt.
Might make more sense to go the JUCO route if that's the case. This guy just signed with Florida State over Arizona State. Was recruited by Hines Ward.Grabbing a SR like him for the 4th option WR wouldn’t cause anyone to leave.

Not King, but I posted this in another thread.Whats your take on why we havent started a single OL this staff has recruited out of high school?
It's still too early to expect the 2022/2023 classes to be major contributors on an SEC OL. If they're legit SEC OL, you'd expect to see Sham break in 2025/2026, and Warren / Perry / Satterwhite / etc. in 2026/2027.PSA: Nerd stuff incoming.
Over the last 10 years in the SEC, only half of eventual starting OL get their first starter minutes before their RS-JR or SR year. 9% break in as FR, 24% as SO/RS-FR, 17% as JR/RS-SO, and 26% as SR/RS-JR, and 24% don't start until they're RS-SRs. The trend is pretty consistent across the FBS, and the numbers hold up for the likes of Bama / Georgia / etc. as well.
Then you risk losing Matthews, Staley or the someone from that freshman group.
Not worth it.
Grab a 1 year depth rental or don’t get one at all.
Agreed this year we need an experienced depth person who doesn't mind being the 4th+ option. The reason I say 4+ is because I believe Travis Smith is going to turn some heads as a Freshman. Squirrel and Brazz are out at the end of the season and you potentially bring in Tristen Keys who is going to have starter ability as a Freshman in 2026.Then you risk losing Matthews, Staley or the someone from that freshman group.

IIRC, Brazzell has 2 more years of eligibilityAgreed this year we need an experienced depth person who doesn't mind being the 4th+ option. It's going to be wild in 2026 to see the WR room potentially be:
Smith/Keys
Staley/Jackson
Matthews/King
That is going to be one heck of a WR core for Merk/GMac/Faizon to throw to
still crazy that with our offense and where we are as a program right now, we don't have 5* WR's lining up wanting to play for us...
