Alright so this is a ridiculous thing to spread, Creatures is getting handled accordingly on X but I want to address here.

The first point I want to say is this “jilted player” describes the entire collective/sports agency for professional sports in the country. Nothing in this personal slander actually even says anything sensational.

The player signed an agency agreement. These agreements guarantee an annual payout which is paid monthly. The players then as they actually begin creating real marketing value those monies get subtracted from the total until they generate the amount agreed to. So in this case $100k.

So after players generates $100k through deals with companies then the contract has a % amount payout to the player for anything in excess to the guarantee.

This is how all of these type deals work in any industry. Music, sports, movie stars ect.

Then things like shirt sales and other extras you get a percentage on as well. And all that is spelled out in the contract and 20% is actually a pretty good number.

This “player and his agent” obviously never fully understood how this all works so because they didn’t fully understand it
They obviously feel “scammed”.

All the personal stuff against Hunter at the end is ridiculous. That guy is one of 5ish people most responsible for the rise of TN football the last 4 years. That’s the Point blank truth.

This pisses me off, especially given how pro volunteer club I’ve been. Better not be true. And I’ve met Hunter, and know people who know him. Total weirdo. Rich kid (albeit smart), went the attorney route for a bit, looks out only for number 1, and probably weirdly trying to hide a double life of homosexuality according the to the girls I know that he’s “dated”. Not trying to hate, just what I know about him and he basically gave me the I’m too cool and busy to talk to you vibe the one time I met him. Im in his corner under the premise he was a huge vol fan, so he better not be scamming. That said, how would we know? We do all these donations based on good faith.

They need to roll spyre and volunteer club up under the university and get serious, especially given their stated mission to make UT the premier university for all things NIL related.

I think it’s more so people not understanding their business model rather than anything nefarious at least I hope. They give players a contract example $300k to represent their NIL. And they get a portion of future deals for being the marketing agency in return.

So if Pilot flying J wants to sponsor a player or buy advertisements for $300k spyre probably takes like 150k or so and then the player gets 150k on top of the original 300k spyre paid him. And then spyre uses memberships and donations to fund the rest. I think they take 10% of the donations and memberships fees and use it to pay salary’s and expenses however I don’t know the fee structure for their merchandise.

But in some instances they may make more money off a player than they paid them if they paid a player 100k and got him 300k in media deals and took 150k. Idk exactly how it works but I think that’s what’s going on here rather than anything nefarious.

I think Pope is a young coach who is still learning. I think it’s fair to criticize our WR production, development and the outflow we’ve had. That said, assuming Mike Matthews comes back, I don’t think we lost anyone I actually care about (I’d much rather see Staley, Brazzell or a transfer in the slot next year). So I actually don’t care about the guys leaving “liking him” as much as I do the production and development, which doesn’t get high marks for me this year.

hubbs is a great dude. my sis was close to bobby denton, mike hammond, ed brantley and the dick broadcasting family. hubbs has just gotten his start. great guy, very loyal.

I swear some in our fan base need to get a grip. That twitter post going around is ridiculous. We’ve literally had the best run ever in UT athletics across the board over the past 2-3 years. You know what that coincides with? NIL, Spyre, the Volunteer Club.

All this angst over 15 guys who were or will be recruited over.
