Maybe they’re high on the hog, but if they’re not careful they will see first hand what happens when you betray us. No more auto pay, no more tweet reshares. That’s arguably one of the worst takes I’ve ever seen from a beat writer. If I’m the VQ brass, he’s in my office tomorrow. Absolutely no way do you post that for paying customers and expect it to be acceptable. For starters, he’s not doing his job. Your job is to report the news, period. If you don’t like the pushback you receive, then find another job. But most importantly, this is such a terrible way of saying “I have no clue what’s happening so I’ll just make something up and either way, I appear right.” I’m indifferent on AP, but this one is terrible.

I’m fine with evaluating. Evaluate far and wide. Evaluate everyone.

But if you have holes in your roster, which ostensibly is the case (hence the need for widespread evaluation of portal entrants), it would seem prudent to pull the trigger somewhere and plug the holes.

This post is to no one in particular, but I would ask RF portal thread posters to look in the mirror and see if the shoe fits.
We were a playoff team this year. We have had very good back to back recruiting classes. We have won 30 games in the last 3 years.
We are now firmly relevant on the national stage. And this was done in less than four years while on scholarship restrictions.
After 15 years of darkness and turmoil in our athletic department and particularly our football program,
we finally have stability in, and unified support for, our program from the top (President. Chancellor, AD, HC) all the way down. We have the financial support and the institutional support.
We have a cutting edge NIL program. We took the NCAA to the woodshed and showed the country how we Volunteers stick up for our student athletes.
The leadership team, coaches., players and support staff want to take that next step. More than us fans, believe it or not. And they are working hard to do so, every day.
The AD/Football program only leaks what they want out. How refreshing that is in today's world.
And on some levels that bothers the average fan, because we want to know!, but that is how it should be. Loose lips sink ships. And our ship is very well afloat, and moving forward.

So to the persistent/echo-chamber hand wringers and wanna be talent scout/coaches that seem to think they know better than those in charge: you can bellyache, piss, moan and complain till the cows come home, turkeys start falling out of the sky, or the second coming of Catbone magically appears. It won't change a damn thing. Maybe it makes you feel better or important to vent such gas so often. But you are not impressing anyone other than your small group of like-minded non-believers.

To the rest of the massive Volnation, ignore the noise, enjoy this era of TN Athletics and.....Go Big Orange. Win em All!

Great post. One of the best that I have read in the RF for sure. Some VN folks will not read a post that long...but words of wisdom are likely wasted on them anyway. The NegaVols are a festering boil on the azz of Volnation. Both the website, and the huge group of people. Some people will never be happy, and will try their best to make everyone else miserable like them...the ones Coach Majors called "the Legions of the Miserable".
