where was Thorton a 5*?

None of the transfer calculators had him up that high. 247, On3, and Rivals all had him as a 4.

Showing your ignorance once again. Thorton was a 4*. Bru was a 4* transfer. Matthews is a five star. Serious question. Did you watch our game with OSU? If you did, you do know they have significantly more 4 and 5* talent than us right? Did they or did they not look VASTLY superior to us?

TN was in his final schools when he was choosing where to commit. So I'd think we would be right up there with his top schools if he were to enter the portal. Would love that.

Honestly, he would probably be a better tight end!! He is strong and is an excellent blocker. Make the move.

Was looking forward to a fresh look on the WR room. His presence would be great, but I’d hope he would take a back seat to the young guys or transition to a Fant-like role.

I know where you're coming from but I feel like I'm good with this one...alot of times severe leg injuries take two years to completely come back from...I still think we need at least one more WR transfer but I'm interested to see if Bru takes a step this year...he was pretty dang good prior to the injury in 23

We have ties to Wingo and Tate. Both had TN in their top 2-3 schools before committing elsewhere. Would love to have them both!! Wow, Wingo, Tate, and MM. Not to mention Brazzell, Staley, Boo, and the incoming freshman. Wanna talk about dynamic?? That's a bad@$$ WR core!! Don't hurt to dream!

Even if he isn't the so called #1 option, he will still get more targets and chances to make plays than if he stays with Jeremiah Smith and OSU.

He's not been the same since the injury. Time for the team (and fans) to move on.

Tate is a pipe dream. Doesn’t even deserve speculation, much less commentary from believed to be insiders.

I don't disagree because I've not seen him even mentioned as someone to consider from anyone who I consider to be doing anything more than guessing. But @KingVFL has twice been asked directly about him, and despite answering nearly every other question in that same time period, chose to breeze on past the Tate inquiries.

I'm not saying it means anything, but just something I've noticed and though perhaps worth mentioning.

It really depends on how much of his ability he can recover. This year, he was much slower, and was tentative with cuts. Full strength Bru is a big asset. Not sure if he’ll return to that, ever. Hope so though.

This. Some injuries take a true year to recover. Some you just never get back the athleticism.

With the addition of AJ, I'm not convinced we need another WR. I mean if the coaches want one, they'll get one, but I could easily see a WR rotation this year of MM, Brazzell, Staley, AJ, and Boo. Bring in another and I could easily see someone being left out.

Still think we should be good on the OL if Elarbee has developed any of his HS guys, but bringing in another one isn't a bad idea.

If the freshmen are okay with not RS, we could make our RB room work.

Still would like another safety, even though I know it won't happen.

JMO, but a solid DT to add to our rotation might be our biggest need left.

Also, I'm very bored. Portal action needs to heat up.

I can see wanting one more if it's a proven product at the P4 level or a blue-chip prospect that just hasn't gotten enough opportunity buried in a really good WR unit. King says we may take 2 more, which seems like overkill, but we did lose a ton of WRs and don't return much experience, at all.
